Hopefully. I’ll push for it but insurance says 30 days / 900 max. They have some sort of deals with Enterprise and Hertz but not excited about driving an ICE. Tesla for about 7 years. I always forget to use the breaks, turn them off, etc ha
Looked into it and below commenter is correct. No fault only applies to medical bills. I’m in NJ.
Speaking with the insurance “claims” official person (forget what they’re called). Will mention this. Although I’d hate to not have the free charging I guess a new S or (maybe a Lucid?!) would be...
As mentioned, will look into it more tomorrow but I should propose this to my insurance or hers? I’m going through my insurance since I figured it’d be easier than dealing with hers
Yea, from reading other posts appears it will be a while. I’m in North NJ so will start looking soon.
My insurance provides a rental for 30 days. I think they said $30 a day. Amica. Next time I’ll add the extra ~$20/year for extended rental car.
So after 30 days I’m SOL? Pay on my own? Since...
2020 Model S vs a big Dodge SUV. She turned left in front of me, I slammed on the breaks and hit her pretty good. Cop said it’s her fault and obviously I have sentry plus another dash cam in the car for proof. We’re both fine. I was coming home from a workout/HIIT class.
My body is a little...
Hello,
Yep, still have it. Haven't really been actively trying to sell it but I could be persuaded. The problem is you can buy a brand new one for close to what I'm asking. I'd like to get 69k. But obviously mine has a lot of nice additions. Up to you.
Considering selling my lovely Model S. I love the car, it looks amazing, drives perfectly but I don't drive it enough now to warrant the monthly payment. It definitely turns a lot of heads and looks amazing. I'm in NJ by the way.
Info:
-5500 miles
-Model S Long Range
-Solid Black
-19’’ Wheels...
In 2012 I saw an interview with Elon on 60 minutes. I knew a bit about Tesla but not very much. The next day I looked to see if Tesla had stock. When I watched the interview I thought to myself this guy's a genius and very passionate.
The next day I bought some shares. Still have 20 shares left...
Need to sell pretty soon. I have a trade in with Tesla in the next 2 weeks or so.
Details:
I'm selling my 2017 Model S60 for $53,000 OBO. I'm in Bergen County, New Jersey (North NJ).
It's been an amazing car. I've taken great care of it. It's in very good shape, see all the details and photos...
I'm selling my March 2017 Model S 60 for $56,500. I'm in Bergen County, New Jersey (North NJ).
It's been an amazing car. I've taken great care of it. It's in very good shape, see all the details and photos below. It has a scrape on the back right side but it's not super noticeable. And a little...
Yea I thought about that. For me personally the extra, actual ~25 miles or so wasn't worth it. I wonder if there are other people out there who would rather save the 2k. I'll look into price differences. It's probably worth it though.
I drove it from NJ to Los Angeles and back as a 60 in 2017.
I bought a new S60 in April 2017. It's been great. I haven't been keeping as up to date lately with Tesla news but saw that the new long range is around 80k. I don't always have to have the latest and greatest. My 60 has been great but if I can upgrade to 370 range, a much faster car with more...
Can you notify Ben again please? I'm not sure how to contact him myself. I'd gladly donate some money to help get it back up. Planning a big trip this weekend - NYC area to LA.
Leaving for a long trip this weekend. NYC area to LA. I had a great route planned with link saved. I downloaded the csv file but still would be nice to get this back up. I'll donate $50. Is there any way to get in touch with Ben and find out ETA or if he needs a donation to help get it back up...
Thanks. Yea I've read that around 75mph is optimal. If it's close I'll stick around there. If not 14mph above speed limit always.
And funny you mention the Barstow/Primm leg. That's the only one EVTP has as yellow for me. But as mentioned earlier, I set a 10% battery buffer so if I don't drive...
Not really stressing out just wanted to hear thoughts from fellow owners and learn any ideas I hadn't thought of. Which this post has accomplished and thankful we've got a great community to discuss and learn.
Also appreciate your thoughts. One thing that jumped out at me when I went did a...
Thanks. Will probably not have room in the back but it's a good idea. I was thinking either some comfy blankets/pillows in the backseat or just putting the front seat all the way back and trying to get some Zs there. Might try that the first night and see how I feel.
About the inverter - was...
Ahh - one last question. Was considering sleeping in my car at a supercharger (or close by) possibly once or twice—mostly on the Eastern part of the trip. Figured I'd drive the first couple of days as much as possible.
You guys ever do this? Save some time/hassle of checking in/out for 8-10 hours.
Ok I'm heading through the Rockies. Those photos have me sold. Very nice. Now I have to bring my 5D Mark III.
We originally were just going to fly out for a week (my wife and I) but I have some downtime at work so figured it would be as good as a time as any to make the trek. She's still flying...
Thanks for all the replies everyone. Very helpful. Now I just have to make sure I can take off work for three weeks. Looks promising right now but will know for sure by next week.
I'm considering driving out to LA in July. I actually live right outside NYC in New Jersey. I've got the trip planned through EV Trip Planner but have a couple of questions and if anyone has any road tripping advice please share.
First, I have a 60 (upgradeable to 75). In EV Trip Planner I...
Yea, the area above the bumper I know they'll have no problem repairing. Just worried about where the sensors are located.
This is not a certified Tesla body shop (I don't want to pay twice as much) but you're probably right that other cars have sensors so they should know what they're doing.
We have a "long" garage. It's only wide enough for one car and but two cars can park in it one in front of the other. If the Tesla is parked all the way in the front reverse summons doesn't work. Not sure if it's the distance (extra ~15 feet). Or if the space is too narrow for a longer distance...
Yes, I'm an idiot. I rubbed up against a wall causing damage the to the paint in the rear as well as on the rear bumper. (See photo).
I went by some highly rated body shops today to get a couple of quotes and to discuss with them. In order to fix the rear bumper they'll need to remove it...
Yea I'm still unsure. One person says one way, someone else says another way. Seems like either A or B:
A) The comment I referenced is from line 44 of your 1040 which is the amount of tax you would pay on your earnings which doesn't include the taxes that were taken out of your check...
I know this is an older thread but a few of us are discussing how the rebate works on another forum. Is the above comment correct? If not what is the final verdict? Any good CPAs here?
EVANNEX sells wheel bands. Amazon has a product called Wheel Bands. People on ebay have products called wheel bands. They all look similar but not 100% sure they are all from the same manufacturer. Especially the ones from EVANNEX and Amazon. The one clue I got that they are probably the same is...
Hooked up the cam on Sunday. Haven't been ale to drive around much but it looks like it's continuously recording - even when the car is parked. My friends and I installed it. We used the positap from the rear view mirror area.
I'm thinking there was a wire that's not connected to one of the...
Awesome. Good to hear.
Did you tap into the 12V near the rear view mirror? I definitely want continuous power but don't really want to use the extra battery from Thinkware.
Edit: never mind — just reread this thread and saw the discussion I had read a few days ago was mostly beteeen you and...
Nice. Yea I've read this thread, plenty others and other sites. Just a bit nervous I'll eff something up. Should be good to go after all of this research. Hopefully can report back good results tmw night.
Yes, have seen quite a few people discussing GPS issues. Can't nail down any specific thread but if you search 'Thinkware GPS' here you'll see them. It's because of the windshield's coating blocking out certain types of signals. Similar issues people have with EZ Pass type transponders.
It's...
Is everyone mounting the front cam directly below the rear view mirror? I thought I saw somewhere mentioning it's better to mount it to the right.
I have a refreshed S.
Thanks.
Thanks for all the informative responses everyone.
After this I think it might make sense to get the CHAdeMO adapter. Didn't realize there were so many of them around until I just checked it out on PlugShare. There are quite a few superchargers around but rather be safe than sorry.
If I wasn't clear I'm asking about additional/emergency adapters. I have the standard 14-50 240 Outlet at home. I'm asking about other adapters I might need if I'm caught off guard somewhere.
So what you're saying is the one I bought from Amazon won't regulate the AMP draw? I was planning on...
