Taking my Y in for service and wondering if they do things like top off windshield fluid, vacuum interior, wash the car, charge the battery? Any of those? I know for my old ice car they would do a lot of these as a courtesy.

Is there a reason you charge at 11KW? My wall connector goes to 48KW, which is overkill for nightly charging. Should I maybe turn that down.

Seems like it! But sentry mode would've caught that. The edge breakage is odd. I was thinking the ice around the edges expanded into the gaps and force the whole thing to explode.

This article brought my attention to that petition. The fact that a Jeep Wrangler with only 21 miles of range gets the $7500 tax rebate, meanwhile a Model Y with 300 miles of range, does not qualify.... it's absurd. Hopefully signing the petition will make an impact.

OK. This is why I came here! I'll have them switch that 50a breaker for a 30a one. After that, I should have no problem unplugging the dryer to charge my Tesla on that 14-30 outlet, correct? I still don't know why that 50a breaker blew to begin with, but luckily it did.

Good clarification -- I meant breaker, not fuse. I did put it in the OFF position, and then back to ON. And still there was no snap, not even any spring to it. So not only did it trip, but it's guts probably burned or broke somehow.

Is there a way to check for a firmware update to the Mobile Connector? The reason I ask is because I had a charging incident where it blew a breaker after charging for a few hours. I know the Wall Connector gets updates, but have not seen anything for the mobile connector.

In the picture I had already tried putting the breaker back in the ON position. But it did not matter since it was blown—it had no snap to it, if you know what I mean.

Oh I see. So you would say that the breaker looked like that before it was blown, and not “because” it was blown. Also, would it still be okay to replace it with a 50A and continue to use the dryer and on occasion to charge my Tesla with the 14-30?

I just installed the update and can confirm it is not the holiday update. It was in fact a re-install of my previous 2022.44.2. Not sure why I had to install that again!

Oh I see. Yeah, now that you mention that. My Model Y does the same thing sometimes. I close the driver side door, and its window goes up (as it should). But then I can hear the window on the passenger side door go up as well, which does not seem normal. I do not think this happens every time.
