Ventilated seats in a Model S

My Dec. 8, 2016 build MS90D actually has setting for seat warmer AND cooling. The cooling is minimally perceivable though.

Supercharger - Blue Ash, OH (SC, not for public use)

Hi, Cinci locals: I will be staying in a motel near the service center in Blue Ash. Are the superchargers there still available for the public or are they now off limits?

    The new Model S and X will get a Lithium-ion 12 V battery.

I remember reading someone's post about Tesla Service Center refused to work on his/her car because the 12V battery was replaced with a 3rd party Li-ion one. Is there any truth to that? Does anyone have first hand experience to verify or dispute this?

So, does anyone know if there is a charge for going into the parking garage to charge?

Try going to another URL, CNN or PlugShare.com, for example, than try TW again. Sometimes that works.

    Supercharger - Rawlins, WY

FYI: Came thru Rawlins last night and charged. 3 of the 8 stalls have their cables wrapped over the the top of the cabinets. Tried 1A (which was one of the three) and charged at 110 kWh. Apparently the nipple on the cabinet that keeps the handle in the place was broken. So, I assumed the...

How to ID superchargers that requires parking fee?

@Rocky_H, The perks of retirement, LOL.

How to ID superchargers that requires parking fee?

Good to know if that's the case in the West. Here in Midwest & East, they are common: Chicago, Columbus OH, DC and of course, NY. For the life of me, I can't understand why Tesla would help third parties juice owners.

How to ID superchargers that requires parking fee?

I'm planning a 10K mile road trip to the west coast starting mid May this year. Given a choice, I'd like to avoid those SC that're located in parking structures that requires a fee to use. Is there a way/website that I can identify them while I'm on the road?

    Makes sense, thanks.

Feeling fortunate about unplugging a few minutes early

I remember the perilous fog in the Valley from when I was living in Fresno. It wasn't at all uncommon to see nothing at ground level when the ground fog rolled in! I've been curious about how the EAP performs in such circumstances. Does the car still able to follow the vehicle in front of it...

Is the parking garage automated during business hours or is there an attendant present?

So, do we know for certain if parking fee is charged to access these chargers?

Reliability when far away from SC?

Not a Model X, but 2 model S since 2014. Through the years, I have driven to service center for service & repair a whopping 2 times, none of them urgent or essential. I live ~80 miles from the Sawmill Rd SC.

Supercharger - Chicago IL (New City)

When I was going to school in Chicago in the '70s, I stayed in Hyde Park, so I'm not familiar with the North side. What would you recommend that I should see and restaurants that I should visit when I'm in town?

Is there a charge to get into the parking structure? If there is, where can one "get" validation?

Great! Now I broke my tow eye cover

A while ago, my curiosity got the better of me & I asked a "showroom associate" at a supercharger to show me how to connect the tow ring should I need to. He did, but obviously did not reinstall the cover correctly because it was missing the next day. It cost me $16 or 18 for a new one, so...

TeslaWaze updates (was: TeslaWaze is Done!)

@S85D Agree with all you said. I really didn't mean to imply TeslaWaze is not useful, I guess I was just relating a cautionary tale but in my hast in posting the response, it came out as I was disparaging the site. I still have it occupy one half of my screen, and when I see SOMETHING :D in...

TeslaWaze updates (was: TeslaWaze is Done!)

I did. Put it on using my iphone, but with the blue & red lights visible for miles, I think the entire OH-32 was alerted :(

TeslaWaze updates (was: TeslaWaze is Done!)

Tesla waze is not all that helpful. Last May (2017) I got pulled over for 12 over limit (72 in a 60 zone). Teslawaze did not show the cop's presence.

    Supercharger - Dublin, OH

Went to the construction site today, again, no much happened. A lot of pipes (conduits). A Meijer employee who was out collecting shopping carts flagged me down and told me "they're building a charger for your car!" He told me a worker that was there told him that. So that counts as another...

Supercharger - Chicago, IL (South Canal Street)

So, this SC appears to be in a parking garage from what I can see on Google map street view. Can a local owner post from which street one can enter the garage and is there a charge levied by the garage.

That's exactly the spirit I hope to arouse, but sorry , @Boourns, I'd already promised the cargo net to someone. Happy Holidays.

    In the spirit of Christmas...

Thanks guys. Just hope to stir up a little good will, especially in today's vitriolic climate. BTW, I've promised the net to the first owner who contacted me.

    In the spirit of Christmas...

I would like to offer as a Christmas present, to an owner of classic Model S (one that has a "microwave" space in the trunk) A FRUNK CARGO NET. I will even ship it to you on my dime. Just PM me. Happy Holidays!

Wind noise in full glass roof new Model S

So again guys. Do you fill in the gaps around the sides of the windshield and the back hatch?
  35. jjchan

Wind noise in full glass roof new Model S

So, those of you that had good wind noise elimination, did you also install the tubing down the sides of the windshield? what about the back hatch, all along the edges like and "inverted U"?

With my 2014 P85, I skipped installing the front plate because to do so would mean having to drill holds in the nose cone. With the 2016 90D, I installed the front plate rather than go thru removal of the plate frame. I have to mentioned that all the time that I had the 2014 P85, I never got a...

    Supercharger - Rock Springs, WY

I wonder how Fairfield Inn can speak with such certitude. After all, isn't it up to Tesla to contract with installers?
  45. jjchan

    Supercharger - Rock Springs, WY

But is it coned because of @pox's post? Or is there another source to verify that it is indeed in construction? I guess I should have been more detail in my original post: I was surprised that no one had posted here about it being advanced to "in construction". We have all see other SC's...

5 day old Telsa Rock Chip

I used Dr. Colorchip on gravel chips on the front fascia with varied results: the scratches were eliminated very nicely, but the deep dings remained pox marks. Dr. Colorchip does not fill in pits. I came across the product below and have ordered the putty and liquid remover. I'll then use...
