Zoom? [I didnt get zoom in the holiday update]

I got my first 2023 update, still no zoom in Canada.

    Canada Waiting Room

I had to wait 6 months! Congrats, as other said, you will love the car.

iOS Mobile App Missing VENT option, has DEFROST instead?

But it was a mandate, two cars in the same household should have the feature (or not). In my case my Feb 22 MY has it, my wife sept 22 M3 doesn’t. I don’t get it.

    Frozen charger door

The new app icon to open the door is GREAT, I used it several times since yesterday as all doors were frozen. What I like about the credit card trick is that you can do it anywhere. I would be hard to find a plastic bag and warm water at a super charger. I don’t ever recall my ICE car having an...

Issues with doors locking at home and home charging stats accruing to "other"

I have the Tesla Home Charger and sometimes it shows “other”. Not sure why, I think it is related to the GPS, since I park close to the property line. Sometimes the app says I’m at the neighbours address.

    Frozen charger door

Makes sense. I’m glad to go through this while at home and not travelling somewhere trying to figure it out at a supercharger! 🙂

    Frozen charger door

I was referring to the icon I pasted, but I should have attached as an image. Anyhow, the credit card trick did it.

    Frozen charger door

Nothing that money can’t solve! After draining 10% of the battery defrosting without any luck, I open a service request. When o did that it provided me a suggestion (screenshot). I gently used the card around the port, then it was free to open. Did the same thing to clear the snow from the M3...

    Frozen charger door

Is that the same as the app? My car is 2022, it has the heated windshield wiper base. It has been on now for 10min, still frozen shut. I may not be able to charge, but I was able to drain the battery! 😂

    Frozen charger door

Interesting weather in Toronto where rain changed to snow. So, first time this happens to me: Home Charger is on my wife’s M3. When I take it out, door is frozen open… so I’m moving the charger to my MY, charging door is frozen closed! What is the best solution? Get some not too hot water? I...

Zoom? [I didnt get zoom in the holiday update]

Interesting that you say that, I’m also working with collaboration systems for more time that I want to admit, but my case is a little different, I have to share my screen a lot. However, that is not going to be possible with the app since I need to share my computer… and if I’m on the computer...

    Zoom conferencing in Canada

Why isn’t Zoom available in Canada? I’m wondering how long it will take for it to make its way up North.

Zoom? [I didnt get zoom in the holiday update]

According to “not a tesla app”, zoom is not available in Canada, which sucks. It would have been a very useful feature for me. Hopefully it will come to Canada soon. I can’t see why not (other than bureaucracy). Fingers crossed. PS: As others said it requires Ryzen too

iOS Mobile App Missing VENT option, has DEFROST instead?

Damn it. My M3 is now on 2022.40.4 still no sign of Vent. I just find it “interesting” it hasn’t been removed from my MY, which is on the same version. The Y is just a few months older.
  16. in2survive

iOS Mobile App Missing VENT option, has DEFROST instead?

Interesting, I have the same issue with my wife’s M3 RWD, while my MY, which is a few months older has it. Both are on the same software version 2022.36.6, but only the Y has the vent option. The 3 doesn’t close the windows when you walk away either, only locks.
  17. in2survive

    Vent Icon Missing

Interesting @jjrandorin I though it was a M3 RWD limitation, but I guess it is more than that.
  18. in2survive

    Vent Icon Missing

I have a 2022 Y LR and my wife a 2022 3 RWD, for some reason the 3 doesn’t have the vent icon on the app and if I try with Tessie, it gets me an error. It makes not sense to me as I would think the only requirement would be power windows. I also noticed it doesn’t close the windows when it...

    Is my charging regimen OK?

I charge my MYLR every day, but up to 70%, as I don’t really drive more than 20 to 30km daily. I have a home charger and the 110V charger, which is actually good enough for one car, except winter. My wife has a M3 RWD, which we charge 100% every day. I wish there was a case study for different...

Model 3 SR+ LFP Battery Range, Degradation, etc Discussion

The other interesting fact, which many said before, is that the range is “the same” in practical terms, considering that I only charge till 70% every day, and my wife always charges at 100%. :p I know, I know, I could charge up to 90%, but I really haven’t a need to do so. Therefore, for the...

Model 3 SR+ LFP Battery Range, Degradation, etc Discussion

What impresses me the most in my wife’s M3 RWD is the efficiency compared to my MYLR. We both drive mostly in the city, short rides ~5 to 10km, but according to Tessie (same week) it is 77% efficiency on the Y versus 96% on the 3.

Didn’t know that, in that case I assume it is a question of time. Thanks @MP3Mike

    Pre-Condition for non-Tesla Supercharger

I guess I was thinking more where you don’t have a Tesla super charger (SC) close by. For example, I was going to Gaspe in northern Quebec, (Canada) and at the moment there is no SC there. It would be nice if the car considered the CCS chargers… there are lots in Quebec. Of course, the other...

    Pre-Condition for non-Tesla Supercharger

I ordered my CCS adaptor, which is finally available it North America. However, is there a way to pre-condition the battery when heading to a non-Tesla supercharger? Ideally I would like Tesla to treat 3rd party CCS superchargers as a Tesla Supercharge in the navigation. For example, having...

    Phone call echo

It is June 2022…. And I have this issue since I got my model Y in Feb. What seems to help for me is taking the phone off the charger and back on it. Makes no sense to me, but the echo goes away for the caller. I had a technical technician over, he changed me mic, made no difference. Very annoying.

    Spotify loading endlessly

Amazing how long it is taking them to NOT solve this issue. I have the issue every single time I enter the car. Actually, if I don’t change the playlist, it works. But… I can’t load a new playlist, until I switch to streaming and back to Spotify. I actually got used to it, so it doesn’t bother...

    August Order Estimate Delivery

I haven’t checked in here for a while, but I’m shocked to see there are still August orders pending. Trade-in not adding up

They fixed it when the car became available. A few days before delivery it was correct online, meaning taxes applied after trade-in value was deducted. Very strange, but my TA said it is normal.

Charge Stats - Tesla app new feature

I see the stats, but I OLNY charge at home (so far anyways), and yet I see a bunch of “other” locations, which makes no sense. Anyone else? I assume it is a GPS signal issue.

I got the AMD (100% sure) and I think I have the wiper heater too. I say I think, because I see the icon to heat the wiper and it gets red when I press it, but it isn’t great, although it does the job, I still have some ice loosely stuck to the wipers. Do you have the icon? I’m glad you have...

    August Order Estimate Delivery

I got the winter tire package (Pirelli) and I’m quite happy with the performance on snow. A LOT better than my CRV AWD, and I would say it is as good if not better than my earlier Outback (Subaru), which was outstanding in snowy conditions. In fairness, I only have the car for a few weeks, but...

Guys, do you get flickering with the side cameras? I think it is because of the snow, everything is white and it keeps adjusting the contrast. However, it seems to trigger the alarm some times.

Yeah, I think I will just go with the pump and top it up to hopefully get to the next repair place.
  35. in2survive

    Current Delivery Times

After doing some reading here, I realized the spare kit (with the sealant) doesn’t work with the tiers because of the noise damping foam. So probably just a pump to top it up if required.
  36. in2survive

    Current Delivery Times

I have the same dilemma, I find ~$400 way too expensive and I don’t really want to give up that much space while travelling. I was thinking a repair kit with a small electric pump. Having said that, I had 2, maybe 3 flats in 20 years. But statistically, I should be getting one soon! LOL

    August Order Estimate Delivery

I’m happy to see that “most” got their cars or at least VINs, now the conversations are shifting to accessories. Well done August’s Ys! PS: I think what my wife enjoyed the most in this car is the fact that I volunteer to anything that involves driving… picking the kids at school, groceries...

Just some useless info… my camera calibration went on for 250km and now, after finally driving on highway, it finished the calibration. Mind you I drove maybe 10km on highway and voila. Long story short, you need to drive on a highway to do the calibration.

I'm wondering when I'm going to find out is I have the heated wipers. I suppose when the option in the software is available... does anyone have an idea? Not sure it is visible from outside, I don't see any lines (i.e. heating element) when the wipers sit... it is just a black surface.

My car was beside the showroom, indoors, super clean like it could have been the showroom car. No gaps either, I guess I was lucky, or I don't know what to look for. I think the only 2 things I wish the car could really be improved are the lack of a cargo cover and the suspension. But that is...

    2022 Model Y - USB Data Ports - USB-A Glovebox Only

I have a couple different USB hubs that I use with my mac, but they get very hot. I would be concern about having them in the glove compartment connected all the time. Have you noticed any issues with the unit you posted?

Awesome, congrats! I found that driving the car is like this: Slowly: like when you are parking, it is just like driving a golf cart. Fast: when you step on the accelerator, it is like all other cars are in slow motion.

    2022 Model Y - USB Data Ports - USB-A Glovebox Only

I’m on the caution side, so I wouldn’t click on it. But considering what other users mentioned about not being able to pay, trying several methods, etc. does raise some red flags. Having said that, it is classified as “high-risk”, not malware or phishing. In summary: I don’t know for sure.
