Charging at home decreased to 46Amps

It’s 72Å… with my charger connected to two 80Å breakers, I get 64Å…

Don’t rub it in… if it weren’t for that and a complete set of tires at $1500 every 9 months, it’d be perfect…

Charging at home decreased to 46Amps

So… I’m sorry that I never closed this loop. The service center replaced the “on-board” charger and all is well — charges at 64/64Amps about 40mph.

    Model X front end creaking

Mine’s gone now (although they did try to talk me into a new Model X not to be delivered until 1/2023)… They do great work!!! I adore the OKC Service Center!!! Here’s the invoice…

    Model X front end creaking

This is what they are guessing is wrong — I guess I’ll find out next week…. It sounds like someone put a racquetball in my passenger side front suspension… Thanks for your input!

    Model X front end creaking

I have a 2017 Model X that suddenly developed a loud creaking in the passenger side front end. The creaking seems to be related to the movement of the suspension, but I also notice it when I turn either direction. It’s not related to braking except to the extent that the suspension is...

Charging at home decreased to 46Amps

Thanks so much!! As I said before, except for applying energy to the surface of an arrested heart, I freely admit that I am electrically illiterate! (As evidenced by my attempt to fix my trailer heating tape with an in-line thermostat when my pipes froze during finals in medical school — in an...

    amps cuts to 31 now...

Actually only 2 and the reason I started the second was that there appeared to be parallel play in the sandbox with no real answers. Sorry if you inconvenienced by my worthless issue — hope you never have to spend a couple of days trying to sort out a problem with your Tesla. It is my only...

Charging at home decreased to 46Amps

So… just got off the phone with the Tesla Wall Charger people… 1. Wall charger is fine and (as best they can see) is installed properly — wall charger is not the issue. 2. The error codes point to a problem with the onboard chargers (as was described in this string — thanks GtiMart) and that...

Charging at home decreased to 46Amps

That’s what it does — stops at 45-47amps. But the weird thing is that it initially goes to 64amps and then drops after a few minutes. No amount of “retrying” will fix it. If I unplug it, go get milk, then plug it back in, it goes to 64/64amps only to drop back to 48amps after a bit. I used a...

Charging at home decreased to 46Amps

An electrician installed it… twice (2 different homes). And it has worked as advertised for 3 years… and I don’t understand why it would start at 64amps and then drop to 45-47amps — makes me think that there is something in the car… Trying to get an answer from Tesla, but that is a little like...

Charging at home decreased to 46Amps

The dual 80amp breakers is to get the voltage to 240V. It has worked well with this configuration at 2 different homes and I have plugged the MX in every night without issue until yesterday. It starts out fine at 64/64 with ca. 240V and after a few minutes drops to 45-47/64. I’m not an...

Charging at home decreased to 46Amps

The circuit is an 80amp one — actually it is connected to two 80amp breakers (to make it 240V). It has never said 48/48amps. 46/64 amps. The charger is properly set at 64amps with the 80amp breaker.

Charging at home decreased to 46Amps

Starting just today, the charging goes from 64/64amps and 42mph to 47/64amps and 31 mph. I don’t get it. There was a recent update and since that I’ve been charging somewhere else so I didn’t notice it until today. The charger is wired to TWO 80Amp breakers and has, for years, charged at...

    Charging at 44mph

It should be set up so that it gets 240V (actually says 243V).

    Charging at 44mph

I have a late 2017 MX 100D and for years I have been using my Tesla wall charger connected to two 80amp breakers. It would say 64/64amp and charge at 40mph. Suddenly, today, it says 48/64amp and will only charge at 31mph?! WTF?! I did nothing different! Any ideas?

    amps cuts to 31 now...

I have 2017 model X that I charge at home with a Tesla wall charger based on 2 80amp breakers — for years it has charged at about 41mph using 64amps, but now it is charging at 31mph and has been reduced to 36amps. I didn’t do anything!! Any ideas?!

    Monitor keeps rebooting

I gave up on pairing the iPhone X with the car — when paired, there is no sound for texts. Strange that there is a more advanced UI with a $15,000 Hyundai than on a $115,000 — the texts are displayed on the screen, Car play stuff with Apple... So there is no phone paired with the car...

    Monitor keeps rebooting

I have a 2017 Model X 100D and did the 9.0 software update along with the subsequent update — now v9.0 (2018.42.2 19e7e44). Since the update, the 17” monitor has rebooted about every 10 minutes. Everything shuts down and then restarts. I have tried all manner of “reset” and after this started...

    “Cruise Not Available”

Today, I pulled into the supercharger in OKC with my 2017 (delivered 2018 actually) Model X 100D with autosteer and cruise working and when I pulled out and tried to turn on the cruise control, it said “not available”. There were no blue lines and no cars seen in front on the screen as before...

Bluetooth link shuts off all iPhone sounds

I’ve elected to just unpair the phone and use the AirPods to talk on phone, etc... It doesn’t seem like rocket science, but I guess I can live with using the phone as a separate item... not ideal in the sophisticated Model X 100D, but I lived with in my Subaru, so...

Bluetooth link shuts off all iPhone sounds

The above machination does not work with the iPhone X. My new Tesla Model X 100D does the same thing and I can not hear text alerts at all. Furthermore, I can not use an external Bluetooth device (AirPods or Plantronics) and have the sound of any music continue through the car’s speakers — it...

    Model X External Bluetooth

I am a new Model X owner and have noticed that anytime I use my iPhone X with an external Bluetooth device (AirPods or Plantronics) the radio is silenced and I can’t hear the radio. I use the external Bluetooth devices so I don’t disturb other occupants of the car, but when the radio is shut...
