I raise my glass to the most over-privileged, intelligent, funny, and sometimes endearing group of daughters-and-sons-of-soandsos I've ever known.
Joy to you and yours...

Lol all of a sudden I'm making good points eh? Now that I say something positive about Mobileye and its capabilities I'm making "fair points." Honestly I would appreciate it if you don't even respond to my posts. That would be a great favor - I don't want to hear from you. I'm not the only one...
Okay actually here is what you can do - buy snow tires. Can't believe I forgot to tell you that. High tech snow tires grip better not just on snow but also ice and on dry cold pavement. Best of the best includes the Nokia R2. Mine get installed Wednesday:
Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 - Non-studded...
Doesn't sound like you did anything wrong - just crap conditions hard to predict - ice underneath snow on a hill. Worst possible scenario. If the hill is steep yeah maybe don't do that move again.
Two inches of snow should not make you slip 10 feet sideways unless you're on a hill or the road is covered in ice. I drive snow all the time. Not sure what happened to you here.
Lol no that's not what I meant. To put something on ice is an idiomatic expression in English that means "I'll wait." It comes from the idea that you preserve food by placing it on ice.
200 miles of rated range is on the bare minimum of useful. Also I don't care how many stations Elon builds - So Cal is gonna be saturated with Model 3's so hard. The less you have to wait to supercharge the better. The good ole days of empty chargers will be gone soon.
Once you experience autopilot and electric drive you may want to start road tripping like never before. My only regret on my 75D is not buying the 100D. Vegas for dinner? Sure! Ski one day in Mammoth? Let's do it! Buy range buy range buy range. Skip everything ifnyou have to but buy range. $9K...
Dunno if you remember but:
1-Amnon Shashua showed EyeQ3 acing just that very condition. We don't know if Tesla crippled it.
2- somebody reported in 2015 after hacking the car that in fact AP1 could handle a lot more than we think it can.
No reindeer pulling the sleigh. It's a self-driving sleigh. Easter egg inside an Easter egg says Elon - and it "isn't funny" he says. It's a hint I say. It's a big hint.
Something is coming - something is gonna drop. The Santa Easter egg makes no sense unless something is about to drop or get switched on. Santa brings presents. Elon has gone quiet on autopilot for a while now. He knows everyone is waiting. A Santa Easter egg would be the wrong move without...
The other thing is that it has become painfully clear that the Model 3 demographic is not the same as Model S. So many posters on the 3 forum are "option box checkers." Alas - they will never understand...
The comparison makes no sense. It wouldn't be the same car as an ICE. It wouldn't handle the same, have the same throttle response, cost the same to operate, look the same (different packaging to accommodate engine and transmission tunnel). And the biggest luxury is autopilot (when you own an...
Oh sorry I guess I misunderstood your post. What did you mean by Tesla "uploaded" the more detailed maps in Dec 15? Where did they upload them to if not our cars?
Perhaps it is possible that the team of computer scientists at Tesla working on one of the most difficult computer science problems in the world know more than we do about the logic behind having multiple versions in the wild at once. What we do know is that they could be looking at statistical...
Anybody know how intense the work environment is at Tesla right now? Is the autopilot team skipping Christmas NY this year or do they wind down for the holidays?
I'm just wondering/hoping if the timing of this push is significant aka - means something is about to be announced. Or if it doesn't mean that at all - and the more detailed maps are just there for more R&D.
@verygreen - why would Tesla push high res coast to coast maps to the entire fleet of customer cars? Is it to use the customer fleets in silent shadow mode - increasing reliability before the big public drive? Or is it so they can "flip the switch" and turn on some EAP for us all on that...
@WhiteStarSal - Personally in your shoes I'd insist on everything in writing from here oirbwith service. Either keep the upgrade and your warranty or demand a new battery. You won't get it so then have a lawyer wrote a demand letter and tell us what happens next. This complaint is not whining -...
Huh? "Public love"?? It's not enough to build them and be actually executing what appears to be the fastest production ramp of a car in history? He's supposed to check in on Twitter too? Let's have a vote on how often Elon needs to tweet to keep our hearts from getting nervous - and tweet him...
If Audi works really hard it might catch up in customer satisfaction to the glorious Chrysler Corporation. Its achievements live on in my high school memories. Nothing like minivan sex with your sweetie while ditching 4th period to help you forget that dear ole' dad just had to replace the...
