FSD error this week:
1. Golf cart in front, visualization shows some kind of a pedaled cart but FSD completely ignored it as if it doesn't exit.
2. Navigation says left turn and FSD went right turn.
In Kyle's latest video he mentioned that the latest software update uses dynamic preconditioning. It is based on several factors to determine the temperature of the battery upon arrival at SC station. If your Tesla requires deep charging to reach your destination, preconditioning will not heat...
FSD doesn't learn right away, it takes an update and even then it might not.
Adaptive FSD and a system that can be trained by the driver would be the ultimate solution.
1. Yes and I wonder why Tesla wouldn't automatically precondition prior to arrival at SC location. I was travelling for >1 hour prior to arrival on NOA. The car decided to heat the battery while charging instead
2. I was more concerned about why Tesla is not preconditioning the battery before...
It's 2023 and it does 250kw. I've tried placing the supercharger as destination for >30mins prior to arrival and still will not precondition. FYI, I've been driving for >1 hour.
@AAKEE
Over the weekend , I tried to force preconditioning by picking the a Tesla Supercharger for my next stop. It however wouldn't do it instead I get this while charging:
Even RT is an issue. My Tesla tries to go to the middle lane first then immediately shift to the slow lane upon turning. What???
It also VERY, VERY scared of car in the median lane and would brake even if the car is not moving at all. I tried to tap the throtle and it swayed to the slow lane...
I wonder why Tesla bother announcing HW4 and cause sales issue. (Osborne effect)
From Teslascope: "They also mentioned new autopilot hardware is still under active development and that the goal of "HW4" is primarily focused on improving efficiency and cost savings. They did not comment upon what...
Thanks. Again, you did not disappoint with clear data presentation. I have a question if you don't mind. How do you check for the state of your battery's temperature? Tesla has no preheating on demand and the only way to do it is to route to a SC and usually end up preheating partially on...
@AAKEE Thanks for all the data you presented in this forum. It’s the most valuable information I’ve encountered. By any chance do you have any information on supercharging and it’s effect on battery degradation? Thanks.
When making either right or left turn, FSD tends to get uncomfortably close to the on coming cars. I understand that FSD has it all calculated for a safe distance in between but still....
I had an interesting drive last week on a 2 lane street with a garbage truck ahead of me. It veered to the left and went into creep mode in an attempt to pass the truck. there was however a car parked on the opposite lane. The car automatically folded the side mirrors and squeezed through the 2...
4 feet is almost becoming universal. FSD reacts to the movement of objects in real time and slight movement is interpreted or misinterpreted as intent to move in certain direction. This is where NN using vision has a huge potential going forward.
I wonder if there will be an option in the...
My mindset is not of a tester but a user of an L2 ADAS not FSD. A driver assistance program that MAY get it right. I would test drive a route first to see if it can handle it, then be aware of how it responds to other drivers. Be prepare to take over the car at any point by having your hands on...
There are tons of off topic post and you decided to flag mine. I'm merely presenting that Tesla may opt for AR version as oppose to a diagrammatic approach. Pros and Cons considered. I did not realized that this thread is hostile to suggestions.
I don't. I couldn't find the screenshot of the the said feature but aSLA code are however discussed in this forum: BMW X5 Forum (G05) - Search Results
Addendum: found it. This was from 2020. (BMW i-step 07/2020.25)
The first time I heard about this 2 years ago it sounds crazy but here we are...
I noticed that FSD beta will respond to the emergency vehicle on the front view, not sure how it will behave if it is behind you. Slow to a stop? European ADAS has been programed to respond to slow down to a stop and provide a a lane for emergency vehicles.
I'm learning from more mature experience of forum members and reading previous thread as well as hours upon hours of FSD beta you tube video rather than whining and contributing nothing to the experience. I will provide my input when I have positive thing to contribute. Again, I rather not go...
I agree with this assessment as we don’t know when FSDb will be available for the newly built models as they’re running a different branch of software likely due to hardware differences. Until FSD catches up to the recently build vehicle, it will remain unavailable.
I have back problems and MB and BMW seats just doesn’t work for me despite the massage and multiple adjustments.
I just drove 2k miles on the X and it is the best seat I’ve ever had.
