I saw this launch in the sky. I thought it was the alien part of 2020 but a quick google search told me it was the starlink satellites still in a tight formation. A very cool sight.
Picked up my 27,7xx VIN on Saturday. I definitely saw another one of you picking up at the same time another white Y, we both had the one checklist from TMC. I had a few scratches and paint defects that will need to be fixed later. A few of the doors and front will need realignment but no deal...
Do you already have a custom plate or you plan on getting one. If you already have it you need to let Tesla know in advance so they can have it on your registration docs. If you plan on getting one, Tesla will register you with a random plate and you’ll need to go to your provincial office when...
The paper work thing doesn't sound abnormal. I was supposed to have delivery tomorrow and they were still saying working on my paperwork as of yesterday.
I called in and kept in touch with my DA to make sure it would make it. I dont know when they would have let me know if I wasnt bugging them all weekend.
My truck was supposed to arrive today. Its now slated to arrive Friday giving me a Saturday delivery appt. I don't know how often trucks of Model Y come to the GTA and if they are shared between the different stores. It might be the case that yours is on the same truck, or maybe the next one...
No factory tow hitch, I was going to add it but my VIN was already assigned and it would've slowed it up more. I have one on order to the service center.
Edit: I am on the sheet since my order at the beginning of the year.
Thinking of dipping my caps and the wheels. I don’t have any experience with plastidip so I thought I would check with you folks. If I dip the wheel and put glossifyer on then after a few months time out my Gemini caps back on, will I be ruining my dip on the wheels? It seems that the clips for...
Don't forget a blank good sized USB to have your dashcam recording on the way home. Doesnt need to be your permanent set up, but it'll work until you get a hub set up. I have a hub in my 3 and I dont see the need for the Y since the wireless charger only uses the one usb port.
Yeah when it comes to getting things done, calling>email with tesla. The folks are busy and nothing ensures someone works on your problem like speaking to them. What day is your delivery? Are you getting delivery at Oakville?
Call the delivery center, press 4 for deliveries, 1 for get eta. Ask them to email you your vin so you can sort out insurance. I don't think its possible for you to not have a vin assigned in their system and be scheduled for delivery. They can see it if you cant.
After 2 years of having my model 3, I swear by $250 comprehensive deductible. I'm on my third windshield and it costs about $1300 to replace at the service center.
Got confirmation that my car is likely going to be in Oakville on time to be delivered Tuesday. Very excited. Reminds me of watching Ponch, jd007 and the other early deliveries talk about how the last few days of waiting were just as bad as the months of no VIN.
Also I'm also with TD MM, I'm...
I have abstract oceans brushed black metallic console wrap on my 3. Ordered the same one for the Y, although I wanted to go with satin white but I “let” the wife win this round. The thicker the wrap the easier it is to apply. So the brushed metallic and matrix wraps will be easier than the matte...
After watching a bunch of other folks get deliveries or deliveries scheduled, it feels so good having your own schedules doesn’t it? Time for a wave of white interiors.
I have same config, I have a delivery appt in Oakville a week tomorrow. I had to call and ask for my VIN so I could complete my hitch order (it was too late to add it at factory), and so I could get insurance settled.
I think its standard confirmation they need because usually changing anything about your config (ie paint, wheels, etc) will lose an older lower price. They still have to do the compliance stuff even when the situation is different.
Im not sure if its relevant to this scenario because thats not money that Tesla was giving up. They got paid the whole 65K for RWD even though I got 14K back like 6 months later. When they lowered the price that was money out of their pocket, not the Ontario Gvmt. Same as when they lower prices now.
From what I have seen so far if you have already received delivery you will likely not get the difference. Still waiting to hear about folks still waiting for delivery. This happens sometimes when you buy a Tesla. There is a new tech that comes out or a price change after you get your car. My LR...
1. You'll have a chance to check it over.
2. If I'm not mistaken, you need to have proof of current insurance for a vehicle to purchase it in Ontario.
3. I spoke to them on the weekend and they said they hope in the next few weeks but they're not sure. I'm sure someone will post on here when...
Congrats. Did you get a call, email or text? I don't want to keep bugging my advisor, he'll let me know when he hears something, but the wait is rough.
Depends where you are apparently. I usually have service in Waterloo or Oakville and they've been pretty good about having loaners available. They used to give you rentals and pay for gas but they don't do that that anymore.
Every time I search for "5Y" in source code I get so excited when I see a result, only to have random parts of the code have 5Yb or 5Ym. Website is being a tease.
I have a brushed black metallic from abstract ocean in my model 3 and I love it. My wife wants the same in the Y but I’m thinking of going satin white to match the dash trim.
I found the X5 too cushy and felt like it had no acceleration after driving my model 3. You'll never go back. Even though towing with a plug in hybrid would be easier, I still couldn't go for it.
Good to see some white interiors coming in. Hopefully Ill hear about my white on white soon. I had to talk my wife out of a CPO BMW plug in X5 today. What finally did it was her sitting in an X5 and the buttons were too much compared to our Model 3.
Have you towed anything yet? I’d love to know your consumption for a given towing situation. Looking at getting a trailer camper when my Y comes in and I’m trying to figure out how towing will impact range.
I think its equally likely that someone got scared away from taking delivery by all the posts about quality issues without looking at the car. Inspect for yourself, if its good shape you saved yourself a wait.
I think its worth remembering that Tesla will still fix a warranty covered issue...
The wait for VIN is rough.
If there’s any wait before more VINs it’s because they were assigning VINs to people close to factory to get Q2 numbers up, even if that meant unassigning those cars from farther people. So those people will be getting the newest VINs before anyone else and then the...
The wait for VIN is rough. Here is hoping for some news and/or a delivery in July. Who knows, maybe my wife and I won’t need to buy anniversary gifts if the timing is right.
Ouch, I was budgeting 1300 but it makes sense it costs more than adding it at factory. Trying to decide if tow mode is worth it vs the eco hitch option.
Thats my build! I thought they might be making fewer of the white interiors so I'm glad to see they are in fact being delivered. I have hope for a delivery before my financing expires now.
