Yes according to TeslaFi stats from their users 47% are still on 2.12. 47% are now on 6.8. 6.8 is rolling out really fast now. Just a couple days ago it was only 10-20% of the fleet. 6.9 is only 0.7% of the fleet so far. And all 6.9 installs are in N.A to date. Also there are now some...
Not sure. So far all 15 TeslaFi installs are US/Can. But if you look back at the history of 2023.6.8 installs there were European installs on the very first day alongside N.A.
6.8 had a huge push the last few days. According to Teslafi there were over 1000 installs each day. 6.9 has only a handful of installs from Teslafi users. It will probably take some time before they do a massive push. Also possible they need people to go 6.8 before 6.9. On TeslaFi all 6.9...
Roll out for non-FSD is beginning....
2023.6.9

Check if you have an MVPA with VIN on it. An email for payment was my only clue I had a VIN. It didn’t show online or app till days later. But I was paying cash so not sure if financing is different.
When it sent you to the Tesla app was it asking you to confirm acceptance of not having USS?
If so, sounds like the same generic statement Tesla has been providing to people for 6 months now...basically saying your car will have Vision parking features sometime in the future.
You've tried the scroll wheel to change resolution?
Click on the gear icon, click the resolution, scroll left to 144p, keep scrolling left for all the high resolutions.
None of the EAP parking features are available yet if you have a car without USS.
The latest version of FSD Beta FW did add back distance measurements but still didn't add back the EAP features.
We don't know when the update for distance measurements will come to non-FSD cars nor when the other...
Well USS has no function during FSD or AP. It is for parking. So if someone is willing to buy FSD it would likely be for the City Beta features (and now new hwy code). Therefore USS sensors wouldn't really affect the purchase decision. It would more likely affect the decision to buy EAP as...
Hopefully some FSD Beta user has a non-USS car and can post some videos to show how well this is working.
But all the established YouTube FSD Beta testers have cars with USS.
Maybe someone can do a month's subscription on their non-USS car and test this out?
Is this supposed to be happening at some point? If so, does this mean cars without FSD will be using FSD programming for "free" regular highway AP?
Watching the latest FSD single stack highway drives it seems to be an improvement on legacy AP code. "Scooches" over next to large trucks very nicely.
Thanks for confirming. That is odd they jumped 30K in the VINs within a week. I wonder why?
I've been following these delivery type threads for a year now and never seen a jump like that in the VIN sequence. Sometimes the VINs are slightly out of order but only by a 1000 or so.
The only other way to confirm is to run the Lightshow. Matrix will spell out TESLA at the end of the show.
But those aren't matrix lights as the matrix lights have an outer circular bulb and less reflectors.
In this photo, matrix on the left (Red car) with the circular bulb and less reflectors...
FSD is still on an earlier branch.
2022.45.11 is the latest update for FSD cars and is 11.3.2 with the single stack. Just started going out on Sat evening.
They probably won't move to the 2023 branch till next update.
The AWD 4680 is same chemistry as the 2170 in the LR and P. So stick with Tesla's recommended range of 50-90% daily charge. The only battery that is any different is the one in the M3 RWD which is LFP and is recommended to charge to 100% at least once a week.
Can you post a photo of your headlights? You would be the first Austin build with Matrix so that would be cool to know that they are starting shipping with Matrix now. There have been three other reports in the past and in the end all of them were mistaken and actually had the Premium headlights.
The end of the VINs from Fremont are PFXXXXXX. P for 2023, F for Fremont and then the 6 digit number. People don't seem to feel comfortable sharing the full number sequence (despite anyone being able to read it off their front dash in a parking lot) so most share the first three numbers so we...
That is usually an EOQ type text where they are wanting VINs assigned to people who are ready to take delivery ASAP and get it done by the end of March. I remember when people had that type of text back in June and Sep that some got VINs and others didn't. It seemed a toss up.
Are you sure the one you test drove was 19" wheels? The 19s are bright silver without the covers on and the covers are mostly bright silver also with a few grey accents. If the car had black wheels it was likely the 20" rims. Just a heads up so you aren't surprised when you go to pick up your...
Mine has been defaulting to higher resolutions for weeks now. Still using a mobile interface instead of the old desktop one but after doing the scroll wheel thing a few times it seems to be showing me at least 1080 if not 1440 without doing anything.
In the US it is a big gap because there is only the XDrive50 and M60 trims available. Those get closer to MX territory.
In Canada we are offered the XDrive40 trim. Base price on that with Grey paint is ~$84K CAD. When I ordered MY in Mar 2022 the MYP was ~85K with grey paint. Of course after...
Unless you can find an October built 2023....they still had USS....they were parked next to me when I took delivery!! I missed the goldilocks MY by a couple build days. 😕
Tesla took USS off the cars in early-mid November 2022. They promised a software update to allow the cameras to perform the same functions. 4.5 months later no update has materialized.
If your car doesn't have EAP or FSD then the only feature it will be missing is Park Assist which is the...
I think Tesla is safe to qualify for the 1st half of the credit with the battery assembly requirement for all MY. Only M3 with LFP may not qualify for that 1/2.
It is of course the 2nd half with the mineral source requirement where Tesla may not qualify. Of course no other EV will qualify...
Yeah, Teslas should still have some buffer below zero. In that video I posted a couple pages ago, Bjorn got 33km after 0%.
I don't think the OP's situation is normal even if Tesla says it is.
Your 22MY and my 22MY with the sensors are still using the sensors. The cars without sensors are doing nothing for parking still.
Seeing how long it is for them to get a Vision only parking update out, I don't have much confidence in it and hope they keep the USS equipped cars using the USS and...
Are you going to go for iX or i4?
If Canada had a reliable CCS network along my summer roadtrip route OR opened superchargers to CCS cars along that route I'd probably swap my MYLR for an iX. I know people hate the grill but I find that on a dark grey or black iX the grill is a non-issue and I...
Well the quarter ends March 31st. So they try to deliver as many as they can to boost the quarterly results.
Cars come off the line in Fremont every day and cars coming off in the last week or two aren't going to have time to ship to further locations so Tesla will try to deliver to local...
As long as the RN# stays the same you don't change position in line. However, Tesla does prioritize MYP over MYLR to some extent (last year it was to the tune of 6-9 months but now a month or two) so if you switch P to LR it may feel like you are going back a good ways but you still would be in...
In BC MYLR (any config as it is based off the base price) qualifies for $4K provincial rebate (income dependent). MYP doesn't. So it is another $3400 to go 20"LR to MYP and a loss of $4K. $7400 CAD difference. So it is not an easy sell in our province now that MYLR qualifies for the $4K.
I think there are a few states that can interchange but mostly not. They will always list which states the car can be registered in if you go to the Tesla.com inventory listing. I don't think waitingfortesla lists them, only the DC it is headed to.
That is true. The only way you'd go back of line is if you paid another $250 and got a new RN# in order to snag some inventory vehicle. Or if you switch to M3/S/X...which probably would require a new RN# anyway.
Most people seem to get their 2nd VIN in 1-14 days. You do not go back of the line. It can be very quick. So quick that a couple people on the forum got assigned the same VIN...LOL
It usually takes 2-7 days for an EDD to update after a change. If you did all that switching in just one day you wouldn't see the EDD change even if it was going to.
That means it was finished production 3/9 so should be en route to your DC. I think you will be good to go...but with Tesla you can never be 100% certain.
Is it a MYAWD or MYLR?
If it is a MYLR (or MYP) then there may be a good chance the date is correct.
If it is a MYAWD then all bets are off as some of those are pre-production and production got delayed on a lot of early Feb ones. So I wouldn't bet on that.
On waitingfortesla.com they list the build date, if the car is in transit and estimated date to its final location. Or if it is already at final location they list when it arrived. It is in the detailed section for each car under dates tab and location tab. Actually the build date can be...
