It does sound like you may have encountered an issue where some sort of software code pile up develops over hours of use.
This is clearly a rare situation as 99% of drivers do not drive 8hr trips almost ever, if ever.
So it may not be addressed anytime soon.
In the meantime, to minimize your...
In terms of actual chips and software, other manufacturers are *literally* in the early 2000s.
There is no comparison. Now introduce Tesla’s first principles approach to EVERYTHING, including its diecasting approach to simplifying mass production, and you see that the rest of the industry is...
That’s interesting about pre Refresh doors opening six inches if they needed to, in order to have enough force to close. I anticipate Tesla will update the Refresh software to include that.
Try rebooting your Tesla when this happens while driving. It’s safe: it doesn’t reboot the driving computer. Press and hold the two wheels on your yoke / steering wheel for about thirty seconds. The screen(s) will go black for a minute and then the Tesla logo will appear a minute later and then...
Put a dehumidifier in your garage and run the hose outside for 24-7 bone dry garage (except for when it’s open but overall it’ll be much better for your equipment).
Tesla T is gone? What the… ? I am proud of my Tesla T.
Round steering wheels are not my thing but I realize some people cannot tolerate change or sincerely (IMO mistakenly) think the round wheel is important. YMMV on that I guess. ✌️
I would generally ONLY trust Tesla service unless I went with a shop like the electrified garage
Electrified Garage
But this is my vaguely formed opinion and others may have more nuanced views.
Have any of you received this awesome update?

Specifically anybody with FSD?
Both our cars (X & Y) have FSD and neither have received the update but my brother who doesn’t have FSD *did* get the update. 😣😭
I love...
Yeah if it has been raining hard and then later I go out to the X, if I open the FWDs, sometimes (not always) a little stream of water gushes right down onto the middle row seats. I could bring this up to service but it’s only every so often and it hasn’t been leaking while closed so I kinda...
Nah man it’s fine but you know when you get a new car and are going to drive it a bunch you might wanna check the alignment just in case it got a bit out of alignment during transit.
And panels are usually no issue nowadays. Tesla has come a long way.
I didn’t know Germany is left side drive! (Ok I just got educated lol apparently most countries are like the US in this aspect)
I thought all of Europe was right hand side steering wheel lol never mind I’ll go back to my cave now lol 😆
Interesting. Maybe subjective but I was bummed about the new charge port and liked the old style, until I began to live with the new style (ie when I got my X). Now the old style looks dated and I love the new style haha but true
Here’s your occasional reminders
1) it is ABSURDLY BEYOND WORTH waiting for your model X
2) get FSD. It is totally awesome (yes still occasionally not perfect).
And
3) if you don’t need seven seats and you want real performance you DEFINITELY should get a plaid (money aside). The LR is powerful...
Could be a roll-out in progress. 🤷🏼♂️
Personally, I want to find out how much it’ll cost to get the screen replaced because the new screen is a substantial improvement.
Tesla makes hardware changes constantly because they constantly iterate, not by model year. At least it sounds like this is a drop in replacement so I’m hoping to get mine done! 😊

My thought would be, wait until the last minute before you go on vacation, to place any hold. You might get delivery before you leave (unless you’ve already placed your order on hold).
That’s a truism though. The question was how, not what needs to be done.
To err is human; to forgive (or, in modern lingo “tolerate/work with“) divine (or in modern lingo, “aid human progress”)
