No. It’s your tax liability for the entire year, line 24 in post #107 above, not what you owe when filing. The amount you under or overpaid during the year, or what you may or may not owe when filing, has no bearing on whether you get the credit or not.

This is NOT correct. If his tax liability is 7500 or more he will get the full 7500. Has nothing to do with how much he may or may not owe when he files his taxes. In his example, he would indeed get 8000 back.

To be clear, you can drive the car after the DOWNLOAD begins. It will pause and it will continue when you return home. When the download is complete it will prompt you to install the update It is when the INSTALLATION runs that you do not have use of the car.

I think if you try ordering almost any other EV you’ll see that 2 months is a reasonable wait time. I test drove a BMW i4 6 months ago and was told it would be 2024, and that was before the new tax credits.

Looks like a toe-in alignment issue to me. Many cars come with out of spec alignment from the factory, I know mine did. Measure tread depth across the tire. Is it just on one tire?

Yes, any shop can do alignments can align a Tesla. Nothing special about Tesla suspension, all they need is the alignment specs. The question is WILL they do it. I’ve been turned down by several shops simply b/c it’s a Tesla. There is a local Jeep dealer that does mine.

The way I read this from the IRS is that if you take delivery before new rules are released, you will be eligible for the entire 7500. If not, then you are subject to the new rules.

What don’t you like about the 20s? I have a Y with 19s on order, but test drove one with 20s and they didn’t seem harsh. But that was only a 15 minute drive.
