I really wish Tesla offered a setting for normal CC when you want it. There are times when TACC is useless precisely because it's failing at being a good CC.

I wasn't the first, but I did try it out. You lose (TA)CC while in Track Mode, which made it annoying enough for me. So I tried to calibrate myself a bit using Track Mode and then turned it back off.

It's always a good idea to leave the 5-15 ("normal wall plug") adapter attached and show them how to use the UMC. Five minutes out of your time that comes in handy if they end up having it for longer. Also, if you want to be a "helicopter parent" check that state-of-charge (SOC) on the phone...

They're both 2018, months apart. The newer delivery with the older VIN is the one downloading.

In case it's helpful information... Both our cars have 100 safety score. I got the email (which did not specify which VIN), and 1 car is downloading. The other is not (yet?).

It's a lot easier if you don't within rush hour +/- 6 hours. ;)

For those actually using the beta that's plausible. The previous comments about were using that with vehicles/drivers as part of Safety Score. Doing so without explicit consent would be a really bad move on Tesla's part, especially when excluding it form the Safety Score page.

That's odd that he wants to include "average" drivers in the program. Even worse when "scored average" (80%) is likely off from their model because of score awareness and driving behavior changes.

That's my read as well. It's unfortunate that Elon tweeted clearly "a week needed" for eligibility and then played the "software is late" card. I frankly don't care if the software needs another week or another month, but moving the goal posts on eligibility is frustrating.

Ender's Game comes to mind. Perhaps we should think of this "driving with awareness of the score" as a preview of FSD testing. ;)
