I think the "soft paint" issue was directly addressed by Elon several years ago. IIRC Elon was surprised by the subject and commented that the paint was a standard product - not "softer" than industry standards. Perhaps someone here can dig it up in old posts - 2015 maybe? I couldn't find it.

Same experience with new battery powered chainsaws - amazing power - no noise. 1 hour of cutting per battery.

I suspect the lighter ones are engines that have not been fired, or are new nozzles on tested engines.

Read something about HW4 coming very soon - perhaps a legitimate cause for the delayed shipments? We could make up something else - seems to be what we do here. :)
