Yes, many of our members choose this route when Tesla service doesn't cooperate. Frankly we don't see this that often, and lots of SCs actually refer their customers to XCare (hush hush of course, as they're not supposed to advocate for 3rd parties).

Yes, sometimes individual service advisors can be a hassle to deal with for sure. We reimburse for covered repairs within 7-10 business days, so many of our members choose to put it on their credit card (miles/points/cashback) and then get reimbursed. Win-win and no hassle with Tesla.

In the newer HID headlights the headlight and housing are one contiguous unit and they are covered. If the first gen Halogen bulb can be serviced/replaced then it isn't covered, but if the construction of the headlight is like the HID headlight and cannot be serviced than XCare would cover the...

For most coverage terms there will be an increase of ~15% if the warranty period will include Battery and Drive unit coverage. If the vehicle is pre-2016, or the coverage will not extend beyond the Tesla Battery and Drive unit warranty, there will also be an increase but no firm details yet.

Happy to help! I would recommend purchasing your XCare coverage 30 days prior to your extended coverage expiring, to ensure no lapse between warranties. As long as your miles at XCare purchase are not over 100k, you will have access to XCare plus battery and drive unit coverage.

Deductible is $100 per visit, not per issue, so if you bundle two issues into one visit you can save $$$. Our coverage is priced according to starting miles and adjusted for remaining factory warranty, so best pricing is at new vehicle delivery but we are here for you whenever you need us!

Sorry for the late reply, must have missed this one! We will be releasing our battery/drive unit coverage in late Q1 of this year in most markets. We will be covering EVs build on or after 2016 (big change!) and like classic XCare the coverage goes forward from the date of purchase, and...
