Final trip summary. My primary credit card somehow failed early in the trip. However, I only had to use my backup credit card three times. I used Google Pay or online reservations for everything. In Canada, the default at every restaurant was to use tap to pay, so I didn't even have to ask if I...

Polaris is a V2, meaning the paired pedestals (i.e. 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b) share power. V3s do not share power, other than the maximum allowed by the transformer. This new location is a V3 and will remove a lot of pressure. It should improve the overall experience at Polaris as well.

Day 45: 356 miles. New Brunswick, NJ to home. Crazy to think of how many times I've made the trip between New York and DC, and yet I spent the entire day clearing superchargers I hadn't yet visited. I spent the night in New Brunswick after visiting Bernadette and her mom in the Brooklyn area...

Day 43: Driving. Lots of driving. 702 miles around the top end of New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire. I collected supercharger #1,400 in Williston, VT. Day 42: 631 miles. Clreared Ohio, including two turnpike service centers with east and west pins. Yuck. So much time and miles lost reversing to get the other one. Yes, they have real-time data of usage. They know full well they are heavily utilized. If they are taking them out, there is a reason, as there are some locations around the US with a V3 colocated -- or very near -- existing V2 infrastructure. We can only hope they will be dropping in V3 or V4...

Funny, I'm usually slower than what the nav predicts. My charging stops clearly aren't as quick as yours. I've experienced a number of rural detours that the nav didn't know about too. Not so much on the highways. Thank you too for the meetup in Canada. It's been super fun having so many...

The yellow lines are the new standard for most new supercharger locations. The reason that jumps to mind is that this design will be more resilient to hosting vehicles with charge ports in various locations., and potentially for a future refit to V4 pedestals.
