And if Tesla wanted to make such a vehicle, why not just proceed with the Roadster 2?

But those cars have USS perhaps. That's worth something, at least until the next update disables them....

With suspension set on high, and a strong LED light, yes. Maybe some cardboard to lay on.

Yes, in my case: Front, back, and a bit on the battery case. It's what's happens when you leave the suspension in low, and drive the car off the truck carrier in insane mode.

Recently, I have had a problem with both front wireless charging pads. It might be temperature related. Seems to work when the interior is cooler. More research needed.

Get a checklist, and be prepared to reject an EoQ build. The are always build quality issues, the question is if you can live with them.

First you have to identify the disease. Its called EDD. Endless Delivery Disorder. In your case, it will likely cure itself in 10 days, not 10+ months, like some here on this thread.

2021+ Model S and Model S Plaid Refresh Issues Thread

Had the seat belt recall done by Mobile. A real nothing burger. Belt attachment indicator not intuitive, I suspect that caused the problem on some cars. My only significant problem is the oft mentioned rear seat rattle. I'll fix that one day myself. No vibes yet at 38-42 or 80. But then...

Considering Switching to a Demo Model S Plaid with 600 Miles - Any Experiences or Insights?

True but Need to factor in the time spent in service to fix the problems. Or time spent to fix it yourself.

    Acceptable Imbalance for cells

In general, the BMS in the MS packs calibrates and balances all the time. There is NEVER a need to go to 100%, and doing so will NEVER benefit your pack. If for some reason, your pack is out of calibration, it will adjust as needed should you approach the bottom end of pack capacity. Fact...

Model S/X minor refresh coming soon?

That's like 13 times the power of the base Vega, and 7 times the Cosworth ( I had both) But the plaid only has 30% more power than the LR. I have rode in a plaid on a private airstrip. Impressive, but I could rent one for many days on Turo for the price difference.

Model S/X minor refresh coming soon?

They can refresh all they want, as long as they let me keep my USS, I have no regrets. At least that's what I'm telling myself.

Update...'22 MSLR with 7500 miles. Stored at 50%, unplugged, covered, indoors for 8 weeks while I was in Argentina. Did not wake the car up, monitored by Teslafi. Ending SoC 33%, used 17kw or 13w/hr average. Recharged to 50%. Rated range is now slightly GREATER at 401 miles than when I left...

Tesla drops prices on X/S $20k. All colors free. Bye bye resale

I've stemmed the depreciation bleeding a bit by selling all shares of TSLA just now. Only 20k of realized gains for the year, every bit helps though. Who knows what 2024 will bring. No regrets. I did not know Elon was crazy when I got into this ecosystem 5 years ago.

The EPA rated consumption for a 2022 MSLR is 241 Wh/mi. You should be able to achieve this at speeds around 60mph, and moderate A/C.

Yes, because if the AC, fans and pumps come on, it will take that into account. In my case 6Kw AC charge overnight outside in mid 50 deg temps, monitored by SMT. The point I would like to make it it seems not to make sense to charge the new MS cars above 50% any more than you need to for the...
