    500 mile range? LOL

I had two CT's on order and I already cancelled one and got a X instead, which is bargain compared to a year ago. And yes talk is cheap, I enjoy this tongue in cheek dialog!
  4. Xenoilphobe

    500 mile range? LOL

Reduction in spending power due to higher interest rates and inflation will impact deliveries, I actually expect to see my truck sooner due to massive cancellations. It's not political, it's stupidity.

    500 mile range? LOL

Rumor is they sandbagged the pricing too. ;) The new Inflation "Reduction" Act pricing:  $39,990 is now $51,999 for Single motor delivered when the Roadster 2.0 is delivered (estimated 2030) $49,990 is now $61,999 for Dual motor delivers in 2025 $69,990 is now $89,999 for Triple motor and...

    500 mile range? LOL

It is sad, a better option is to buy wheels with the right offset, that's actually what I did on my FJ. I don't like wheel spacers, but for the lazy and cheap (Jeep) crowd it works.
  7. Xenoilphobe

    500 mile range? LOL

Anything in the way can be ground down with a grinder. Had to the trim my FJ to get the tires to fit, just make sure you repaint the frame so it doesn't rust. it might need new upper control arms and lower control arms too, just have to wait and see.
  8. Xenoilphobe

    500 mile range? LOL

2.5 miles per kWh is good, right now my gas FJ conversion to kWh gets 0.4 mi/kWh = 13.482 MPG with super unleaded. So once I put the 38's, rooftop tent and everything else on the CT doing 80 MPH , if I get 1.2 miles per kWh, I will at least triple my MPG's to 40ish MPGe worst case, which would...

    500 mile range? LOL

I'm not a design guy, but the cybertruck looks similar to this type of design, 4.4.01:_Structural_elements_and_functions_of_the_fuselage The "payload" is the subframe that fits inside the fuselage, or in Tesla parlance, the stainless steel exoskeleton. Optionally as others stated above...

    Independent Tesla shop d.c

I am not aware of any, but if you find one, let me know. What do you want them to check? The brakes are standard Brembo, I have never had the pads go on 4 Teslas, what specifically are you looking at? Maybe have them check the 12v battery? cabin air filter? HEPA filter? flush brakes? A lot...

    500 mile range? LOL

We don't seem to have any of those problems here on the east coast. When I got my first Tesla there were zero charging stations on the east coast, now on my fourth with over 400K of Tesla driving (my wife is on her second S too) they are everywhere. I would like 500, but in reality the way I...

Refresh Model S. Would you purchase again?

That part I agree with you on, I haven't been in a BMW since the Tesla, so I have no idea how it compares. It's embarrassing to say that I used to look up to the "ultimate driving machine", which now is just a driving machine, so sad to see this happen to a legacy brand... this is like...

Refresh Model S. Would you purchase again?

I looked at it too, I like everything about it except how cramped and inefficient it is. The S has 120 CF of interior volume and the I5 M60 only has 109 CF (classifying it as a compact car). The trunk is equally cramped with only 11 CF compared to the S's 25 CF (also no frunk). Also the AWD...

Refresh Model S. Would you purchase again?

The delta is updated based on both incentives and gas savings (which you can adjust in their model), in my case I drive close to 20K per year and dont pay for charging at home or at Superchargers. Both the S and the X are incredibly great deals as I have paid about $30K more for each prior S...

Refresh Model S. Would you purchase again?

I have owned three Model S's, and currently have a 2016 with over 120K miles on it, still going strong with minimal battery degradation. We opted to go the Model X route this time, due to the cost savings over a new Model S. My wife qualifies for the $7500K rebate, so going with the plebeian...

Prediction: Model X price will be reduced to $78K in January 2024

I worked for UPS for ten years, sensors are for sissy's. If you can't back a 53' trailer on a dock with mirrors, you probably need the sensors. I haven't used them on any Tesla since buying for first Model S in early 2013, which didn't have them either.

    Mileage differences

It's letting you know it time to check the air in your tires...every lbs helps with range and when it gets cold this time of year, it will definitely impact your range guessomator.

Prediction: Model X price will be reduced to $78K in January 2024

I had no idea that they had made so many changes to the X, once you add in the new matrix headlights, this is a no brainer at the new price point. I didn't see that in the extensive list on TeslaTap, which btw is an amazing lay down of features.

Looks like I won't need to buy a gun rack, that frunk is perfect for a couple of AR's and ammo boxes, would be cool to mount the AR's under the frunk hood, if its strong enough. Is Agility really a measurement that truck drivers are concerned about, as related to interior volume? Why aren't you...

    Bait and Switch?

I was out of town this past week in BVI with family and friends sailing and to my surprise I got a call from Tesla to see if I had any questions about my X order. I get the small truck thing, we had a beater Datsun pickup on our farm when I was a kid, I think my dad paid like $3700 for it brand new out the door, with a manual 4 speed, I think he bought it new in 1973/4 and years later I learned to drive stick in it when we picked up bails of hay on our...

Doesn't the Air National Guard use F117 for training? They should have Anduril convert them from manned to drone operated. It would be a game changer for payload increase and performance, call it the Slingblade. Could you imagine a swarm of 50 unmanned F117's coming over the horizon armed to...
