I have more than one CT reservation for a reason. Get what ever they offer now with the first one. Hopefully get 500 mile truck in the next couple years with the other reservation. Third reservation so I don't wait years for a replacement if someone damages the current CT.

I think it will become clear after the CT event and we see how the market receives it....

Rolled my 252.5CC for Friday to next week 260 for another 0.74 credit on top of the 0.95 I had received originally when I opened yesterday. If the SP gets over 260 the long term rolls to Jan 2025 start to look even better.

It is already profitable because the SP has dropped a little since I opened it. It will be most profitable at SP under 220 in two weeks. If the SP rises, and doesn't look like it will fall, I will close it out for a small loss.

I have noticed that recent run ups for Tesla events will sometimes die the day before. We are up more AH, but I would not be surprised to see a red day tomorrow, or Thursday morning. On the Daily Trader's charts, for Friday TSLA has a strong resistance around 250 and a bigger one around 267...

I think the delivery event is early this time because they need to deliver the trucks that are currently on display throughout the country. Can't do that if the stores are closed.

I had sold a few 270CCs for Friday last week. I'm not selling any more unless the SP comes up significantly. It just isn't worth the risk. I know that delivery events in the past haven't been huge catalysts, but without a run up going into it, I don't want to get burned on this one.

dl003 has made some very good points. Another thing I was debating is not doing both at the same time. I can open the Jan 2025 +400/-420 now while the SP is low and it is only $2. Then do my normal weeklies for 0.2 and hope the SP climbs slowly. Then sell 450CC for what I could sell a 420CC now...

If the SP is below the strike in 2025, then I just do new CC contracts for 2026 and get the premium for those, minus the new Bull call spread. Edit: But dl003 doesn't like my plan, so maybe it's not ideal....

Yes, I would roll the 420CC to Jan 2026 for what ever I could get for no debit. It looks like if I had 200CC for this week, I could roll them up 50% to 300 strike for Jan 2025. So I would hope that if my 420CC went in the money, I could roll them a year and get to a least a 500+ strike price...

Because I don't know if 450 is safe for Jan 2025. If the SP closes at 480, I will have to roll and won't have any source of income. With my strategy, I will have $20 in income, and can roll the CC for no credit (closer to my 1,000 target for selling all my shares).

On the Maximum-Pain website, I always forget which chart shows the actual contracts that are currently in existence. The Open Interest or Volume Chart Maturity? The latter makes it look like a close tomorrow between 235 and 240 even though it says max pain is 230.
