If you were always parked on the flat, when you did an update, then when the update did an auto-correct levelling .. .and assuming the software worked properly! - you would never know :) Back when I had an M3, parked on the flat, it used to go out of whack every time I applied a software update

    Home charging dropping to 16A

Understood, but my thought was that if e.g. TeslaFi can Elastoplast it for you then at least you'll get full whack during the night, and not wake up to a half charged car TeslaFi would also log the various values - which might shed some light on it. For example, it might be starting at 32 AMPs...

    Home charging dropping to 16A

Indeed, but TeslaFi (for example) could change the AMPs to 32 every few minutes. Its not a solution, but if it works it would ensure that the car fully charged in the morning :)

What do you do with your house keys (for those that use their phone as a car key)?

I reckon if you create a Patreon account the new lock will pay for itself !

    Home charging dropping to 16A

Assuming your scheduled charge is same time each day (not a moving target time-of-use) then you could try using something like TeslaFi scheduler to change the AMPs to 32 (maybe repeatedly during he Off Peak period, if it still drops back). It would also log what actual AMPs were used, so you'd...

[UK] Is it worth buying a 2019 M3P in 2023?

NoA brings (or used to, I haven't been on a journey that needed it for quite a while) the blindspot mini-picture on, when it wants to take an exit. I find that useful as I am typically sailing along in a daze, having ignored all the ever more insistent announcements to "take the next exit", and...

8 months old USA MYLR7 to UK

I don't know much about electrics so may be way of base here,. but isn't USA 240V across 2 phase? whereas ours is on a single phase? Maybe the USA wall charger is flexible enough to work with "anything" it gets. It might also be difficult getting a UK Sparky to fit it, they have all sorts of...

    Charging habits

Car may have some "reserve" which it allocates as battery range deteriorates - which will fool TeslaFi (comparing journey distance travelled from 100% charges) into thinking little / no degradation. Whereas, I presume, Scan-my-Tesla is looking at some actual data in the BMS?

I agree, and my recollection of such threads was along the lines of "I've crawled under the car and looked at the sticker-label on the battery"

Plenty of 3rd party chargers have CHAdeMO ... although none of the Tesla Superchargers (which have by FAR the best up-time / availability / price of any public charging network in UK) have CHAdeMO Tesla sold a CHAdeMO adapter for Model-S over here, and I'm pretty sure when I got M3 they said...

    Charging habits

FWIW TeslaFi has a filter, so you can choose to only include, say, 100% charges or 99%+ charges TeslaFi decodes the "options" API data, dunno if that distinguishes Battery Version? But if so it could aggregate only "fleet members" that match. There is stuff in there for "similar mileage /...

    Poor Windscreen Replacement

Its all they do, isn't it? I've had 5 windscreens, on a fleet :) of 3 Teslae, since 2015 with Autoglass. I can only remember one install that was right-first-time. No idea why the insurance industry think they are a sensible choice. Here's the saga

I presume they will have to pay a pretty penny to ship it here (and back again). Maybe that creates some wiggle room for them to help? Your car will have steering wheel on the wrong side ... that, of course, is doable ... I take my car to other-side countries a few times a year, for a week or...

Model 3 highland Australian - review with buttons for gears!

:) On the current MS that D/R is down at the bottom of the screen binnacle - fine as an all-else-has-failed, but I am doubting that it would work as a replacement for stalks. Can't speak of Highlander ... all I know is that whilst manoeuvring, hands on the wheel, flicking the gear from D-to-R...

    Fronts Windscreen keeps steaming up

I think (until corrected!) that its related to the air that is in the car - that got in there when it was warmer, and once cooled, e.g. overnight, the relative humidity increases and its going to condense. As well as turning on screen MAX I open all the windows for first 1/2 mile of my journey...

I doubt I'm the only one, but I have a wireless charger on my desk. I just rest the phone on that when at my desk, easier to grab it, to use it, than if it is cabled. They are only a few quid, I bought several for each family member a few years back. Christmas is coming ...

Tesla wants to monitor my activity data

I had that too. I said no. I think it said something about reducing something (energy consumption somewhere ... "Checking if needs to be ready to receive an instruction" type thingies) when phone activity was low. I said NO ('coz I choose to severely limit all personal data stuff), but maybe...

    Ohme Home Pro Basic Charging??

The car is capable of starting to charge at 00:00 (when parked at that location, so it won't automatically do that when you are "somewhere else") (and the car will start charging if you come home a fair bit later than that - I reckon 02:00 would be OK, maybe later even than that - I'm not sure...

Not sure about LFP but if I get home below 20% I charge immediately (well, enough to get higher than 20%), rather than let it sit "low" until overnight cheap rate. LFP is happy being regularly charged to 100%, but for non-LFP I only ever charge to 100% shortly before setting off. Again, not...

About to leave warranty - any recommendations? Should I get a service?

I have a private plate, and tend to buy the same model / colour, specifically so that people don't think I've splashed out on a new car ... Salary sacrifice prices

Finance is different on the new M3 - plenty of demand from "me first" punters, so no need to offer any incentives. If you are happy with the current car, and not a very high mileage driver (i.e. you might want to change if high mileage means things more likely to need fixing) I'd stick with...

Winter wheels and tyres for Model 3 and Model Y

If Tesla aren't able to fit, in time, what about: Buy a set of rims (from Tesla if you like) and get your local tire fitter to put the right rubber on them. Model 3 LR RWD or Model Y LR AWD

Monthly payment is of course whatever you are comfortable with, but IME LR is likely to be the better choice - once the cost issues has been overcome! I have a family member who originally chose SR (an M3) - could afford either but was not comfortable driving a car of the cost of LR. After...

No, I don't think it would (but I have free supercharging so not sure of actual prices). But ... your home charge rate will be 2-3P per mile, your at-work rate will be £0 (you said you were reasonable sure its free). So overall you'd be OK. And (best of my knowledge) you can claim the...

Model 3 LR RWD or Model Y LR AWD

Note that in Winter if your customer journeys are stopping for just an hour and then off to the next one that "stop" time will cool the battery and the multiple set-off costs will be very significant (for range). That's about what you will save on fuel moving from ICE to EV Assuming : you do 10K miles per year, and have previously been driving ICE, and have off road parking and a good Off Peak overnight tariff - not including any free Electricity you might be able to use at work
