Environmental factors play a HUGE role in wiper blade longevity. I'm in Fort Worth, not a lot of wet weather driving, blistering heat in the summer, BUT, my car is garaged most days. My OEM wipers have lasted 48k miles, are almost 3 years old.

jcanoe: So, the AGM Group 51R will FIT, but you're unsure if it functions properly in a Tesla? The question is: does a 12V AGM battery have a different charging protocol and float voltage compared to a flooded lead acid 12V? Maybe you'd like to start a new thread, posing the question? ;)

I would never place anything in the hatch area higher than the rear seat back. Never. Strong braking turns anything there (umbrella, sleeping small dog, even a box of tissues) into a projectile. Stupid crazy for Tesla to call it a “parcel shelf.”

Do you mean "open" the Tesla app, or actually "unlock" your iPhone? If my phone is open/on, the car recognizes me when I walk up to it. Occasionally, I need to tap on the Tesla app to open it, probably 1 time out of 15.

Ostrichsak: I agree with much of what you posted. However, I do NOT trust the Tesla 12V monitoring software, for the reasons I posted above, and will continue to replace the inexpensive 12V battery at or around 3 years. It's cheap insurance against an unpredictable, and inconvenient, failure...

Correct..."Anything will do" better than the OEM Conti ProContacts. Tires recommendations are regionally dependent. Read reviews on TireRack, note the REGION of the poster, and make your decision based on that.

Ostrichsak: Here in North Texas (with consecutive daily temps over 100f) , the North Texas Tesla Owners Group has had dozens of reports of spontaneous 12V battery failure, the vast majority coming with zero warning of any kind. Those that received warnings state that the battery then failed...

...but it becomes useless the other 99 % of the time, while you're driving and changing lanes.;)

dzajic: Can you post photos of the misalignment? I can't conceive what you're talking about. Misalignment of any body part should (?) be a reasonably easy fix, loosening mounting bolts, moving the body part, possibly adding a washer/shim if something is seriously off. If the SC can't fix it...

Dexion: I think we can all relate to your disappointment, but the good news is that the SC agrees with YOU that the sound isn't normal, and are willing to replace the drive unit. AFAIK, replacement of the drive unit isn't all that complicated, so you should be good to go. ;)

I'm not quite sure what you mean by this. Teslas usually benefit from being plugged in, for the many reasons that have been posted throughout this forum, and I don't recall the newer 15V battery to be special in that regard.

Griot's Garage: They probably have several levels of quality. The one I bought, ($40?) from O'Reilly's is NOT good quality. Yes, it blows foam, but not evenly distributed on the car's surface.

(My foam gun is the entry level one, Griot's Garage, that I bought at O'Reilly's here in Fort Worth. The foam comes out in blobs rather than full coverage. It's not very effective. Needs a better quality nozzle. Caveat emptor.)

How's the door alignment? Does the striker plate need to be moved inward a bit? Does the window slide into the channel at the top?
