Compared to the last set of pictures from post #4 of this thread…third charger cabinet has been placed, as well as the switch gear. Transformer pad is to the east of the charging stalls but no transformer. Protective bags over charging posts are different. I’ve been having some problems...

Teensy bit of progress… There’s a prefab transformer pad here now but it’s up on blocks on the other side of the charger cabinets and needs to be moved to the space shown in the previous post. Bruce.

The lightning bolt is (annoyingly) in different place depending on what version of the Model S you have. Could be in the upper right or the lower left. OP didn’t say what they have (well ideally it wouldn’t matter, but…). Bruce.

As of a few years ago (depending on which software version you have, which in turn depends on what model and version of car you have), the map screen generally doesn't show Superchargers by default. If you want to see a display of the chargers around you, tap the CID to bring up some of the map...

This is the Model S forum. Turn signal indicators on the S/X have always been on the instrument cluster, directly in front of the driver. Bruce.

There are lots of other cities, even in the Tesla-saturated SF Bay Area, that don't have Superchargers. The city I live in (Lafayette) doesn't have any, but like Castro Valley, it does have other EV charging options. We can guess at the reasons why, but I doubt anyone outside of Tesla knows for...

Fun fact: "Concord, CA" and "Concord, CA - Diamond Blvd." have some stalls that are only separated by a few feet and some bushes. Until a fence was put up a year or two ago, you could walk through the landscaping to get from one to the other. ;) Bruce.

You're right, since part of the point of the trip was to go Supercharger hunting, destination chargers weren't really a priority. Usually I view them as an optimization but not something I'd really count on (based on past, and admittedly probably old experience). Also our trip was pretty short...

I can't speak authoritatively, but trying to drive any significant distance with visibly leaking coolant and possible battery pack damage sounds like a really bad idea to me. If you knew more about exactly what the damage was, that might mitigate some of the risk, but with just the information...

The original was around 7MB. Re-saved with the lowest JPEG resolution was about 1MB (which I admit is still pretty large). I think when I reduced the physical dimensions and resampled it was something like a few hundred KB. Bruce.

Yeesh! My trip from Lafayette wasn't too bad but I went pretty early this morning (left 845-ish), went through Castro Valley on 580 E to avoid 680 S, which was starting to look like a parking lot in advance of the closure. Bruce.

Ah heck here’s a picture anyway. Wide angle to show the free Volta L2 chargers, EVgo, and hopefully soon Superchargers. The surveillance camera is gone too. Bruce.

Not really worth a picture but there’s a porta potty here now, also they unwrapped one of the charger cabinets and did a little trenching in the parking lot. No posts installed yet but the bases are the rectangular v3/v4 type. Bruce.

They could fly something like a Pipistrel Velis Electro. Pretty sure it can't charge at this Supercharger though. Bruce.

I'm afraid the name is unlikely to be anything significantly different. Tesla names Supercharger locations based on the city containing the address of the Supercharger (plus sometimes the street name). TMC and supercharge.info track that because consistency in naming is important. Bruce.

No apparent change in the state of the site, although there are some "no parking" signs for the next couple weeks (10/30 - 11/18) in the parking spaces between the Supercharger spaces and the EVgo spaces. Bruce.

All stalls operational tonight when I went here for a touch-and-go. Note that the posts aren't visible from the street, you have to drive all the way to the back of a parking lot, and it's not particularly easy to see the posts. The pin on the nav is accurate, fortunately. Bruce.

Yeah that's exactly right. Or, I guess more generically, for people who might have problems holding on to the Supercharger connector in its usual location. This was told to me by some installers, as well as someone who needs to make use of this other handle. Bruce.

Thanks, I agree with everything above. Thread title updated. For myself, I'm glad it was painless to do a touch-and-go charge at 7:30AM on a Sunday this past summer. :cool: If anyone has any relevant pictures to post of the now-ex-Supercharger site, it's never too late. Bruce.

Alright I don't see it in either the mobile app or Tesla's "Find Us" map (using the marker on supercharge.info as a guide). For everyone's future reference, photos are a huge help in providing evidence for Supercharger's changing state. @corywright @Guacahummus @Big Earl What do you-all think...

supercharge.info is a fantastic resource...it's based on crowd-sourced reports from various people in the community, including the person who you were replying to. The Tesla "Find Us" map is largely aspirational (as you pointed out the dates are often wrong). But those grey pins are good for...
