    Deliveries of $80k X?

I shared this on another forum, but figure it's more useful for you all. https://www.tesla.com/mx/order/7SAX218_1198709a8dc2c94331c4ab3795428bdd Tuscon, AZ. Should be new "non demo". Should be able to take delivery before EOY in 85704. They have some demos too.

What I sent to Dublin Tesla on May 8 Asking for a replacement / collateral exchange

Because our family actually wants a car made by a manufacturer that thinks it’s not good to sell a car that shuts down while being driven when the car has less than 500 miles on the odometer. And our family wants a car that wasn’t rushed through production where someone at the factory would...

Discussion: Powershare [V2X feature currently announced for Cybertruck]

Says the guy who has like 100 solar panels, maybe 12 Powerwalls, a house converted to full electric, a driveway that caused a big insurance event, a Nissan Maxima that probably needs a new timing belt to prevent the VG30E from blowing up, and is retired with a lot of time on his hands. I know...

What I sent to Dublin Tesla on May 8 Asking for a replacement / collateral exchange

Yeah the car was bought back by Tesla and they advised me never to buy Tesla again. Regarding your question - the rear hatch wasn't just clogged, there was a portion of the drain section that was damaged by flux or weld spatter. It caused the ecoat to not adhere and Ultra Red paint to get...

Do you have enough solar to go off grid in winter?

Ok then let's get Vines one of these things. It's zero-emissions so it'll qualify as a clean energy source under California NEM! Alternatively we can just park a Toyota Mirai on a treadmill in his yard and have someone put a brick on the go-pedal...

Do you have enough solar to go off grid in winter?

I think TMC-Energy-Products should crowdsource a wind turbine and get @Vines to try and install it so he can learn the ins-and-outs… then we all add stealth turbines with his learnings. Then I’ll get a nasty-gram from my HOA.

If NEM 3.0 then easier to oversize PV?

Technically, the rule under both NEM 2.0 and NEM 3.0 is supposed to be that a homeowner can oversize their array compared to previous consumption if the homeowner plans on purchasing BEVs, installing a pool, switching to heat pumps vs natural gas furnace, etc. I say "technically" because some...

    NEM-PS Annual True-Up Calculation [PG&E example]

Dude, how will you put your PHD in PG&E Bill Reading to use if they nix the black and white bill? I hope you see the new style blue header bill with the graph in the next cycle. I think this view makes more sense for the average homeowner/user. Major gripe you'll probably have is how the NBC...

PG&E Blue vs B&W Bill discrepancies

I think @YRide and I have the newer version of the blue bill. This entire thing is confusing since it's a completely different set of numbers to reconcile on the new blue bill vs the old blue bill. Like the new bill has a estimated NEM true up dollar figure that I don't recall seeing under the...

    NEM-PS Annual True-Up Calculation [PG&E example]

    NEM-PS Annual True-Up Calculation [PG&E example]

Yeah my black and white bills are no longer available. I get extra detail on my blue-header normal bill though. I have no clue how to authenticate these values any more since I can't see the hour-by-rates broken out by each component of transmission, distribution, and all the things that...

Summary of options for 3-foot requirement between main panel and gas riser

Yeah the gas guys seem more chill than the power guys. At least, I don't think the gas guys view Solar and Batteries as damaging their pension hah. I kind of wish I saw the gas tech that wrote me up for having a grounding bond to the gas riser. Then I could ask them about a slam shut valve hah.

Summary of options for 3-foot requirement between main panel and gas riser

WTF, you had a PG&E guy add that after his shift? Like this thing is before their meter and costs over $1,000. I feel like @Vines needs to get some of these so he can install a bunch of crap all around the gas riser in his next design. The FE is a two-stage gas pressure regulator by Pietro...

Summary of options for 3-foot requirement between main panel and gas riser

Can you post a picture of the shutoff they installed? My understanding is the slam shutoffs are underground before the riser. So maybe you can’t actually get a picture of it… I have one of those earthquake gas shutoffs but that’s not a slam shutoff (based on what that PG&E T-man that hates...

Going solar is the best thing I did after Model 3

California NEM 3.0 is wiping out a lot of the monetary incentive to install solar and ESS, but the quality of life improvements remain. I can't stress enough how stupid it is for the California PUC to encourage people to just "sit there" as a means to manage their energy consumption from 4 to...

Summary of options for 3-foot requirement between main panel and gas riser

I expect the next Greenbook to have 25 extra pages disclaiming water tables, mid-wall eaves, dog houses, abnormally thick vinyl siding, stucco with a protrusion that has conduit embedded inside, plastic tarps, conduit that is 2 inches below the grade level, spiral reinforced non-helical...

Summary of options for 3-foot requirement between main panel and gas riser

Can you all get jobs at PG&E so you can re-write the Greenbook to be understood by normal people? Or the moment you work for PG&E will your brain deteriorate with extra swiss cheese holes and you'll spend all day complaining about NEM and your pension being poorly funded?

Summary of options for 3-foot requirement between main panel and gas riser

Summary of options for 3-foot requirement between main panel and gas riser

Cool, yeah that installer I sent you will be able to re-use that main lug only main service panel without any swap or like for like. Or go with Vines and you won't have to worry about a single thing lol. Good luck! Edit, and those folks won't use an acorn to bind your grounding rods to your...

Summary of options for 3-foot requirement between main panel and gas riser

Cool, so it looks like in the latest Greenbook... they added the "radiused" measurement for conduit runs and maybe a gutter box. But the 36" non-radius requirement is still there for any sub panels, combiner boxes, or the main service panel (unless like for like). I think the general consensus...

Summary of options for 3-foot requirement between main panel and gas riser

Something changed about the 36” rule between when I posted and today. Iirc vines said new equipment was allowed within 36 (but not within 18 inches) under certain criteria. It was supposed to make a MSP replacement even easier. Hopefully @Vines can elaborate.

    Dealers at it Again

You should just find an auto broker and buy through them. Take the direct interaction with the sales person out of the equation. You'll get a great deal and a fairly seamless process. There are some great brokers in the tri-state area.

Yeah, this is probably 100% on Mercedes doing what I personally think is a poor job educating buyers about BEVs. It isn't a stretch for someone to then bring a EQ to a Tesla Supercharger looking lost. But hopefully you got them sorted out and explained the situation lol. As far as I'm aware...

I think what you're describing is a glitch with the car then. It probably thinks every time they were pulling to a stop, that they were pulling into a parking space. The EQS/EQE detect when it thinks the driver is trying to park in a lot, and automatically does a 360 camera view to assist...

Yeah, the emblem on the back of an EQS or EQE is a combination of a camera shutter and a button to activate the auto open for the rear hatch. But, there is no automatic rear opening when the car is slowing to a stop. The driver has to manually tap into the camera views then select the rear...
