I'm excited from the day one and am more & more excited. Digest the comparison! Change is a natural phenomenon-look ahead.

Yeah, this isn't some super innovative tech. It's nice to have, sure, even necessary with the yoke, but Tesla's version isn't proven yet and I can't imagine it being a huge deciding factor in purchasing a car.

I'm excited from the day one and am more & more excited. Digest the comparison! Change is a natural phenomenon-look ahead.

Honestly, the Tesla fanboys are all in shambles. Trying to prove the CT is marginally "better" than other trucks released 2 years ago that you can buy off the lot today with some tables. Sad and pathetic.

The lightning has 240v in the bed, and also an amazing openable panoramic sunroof option.
  4. Cheburashka

    500 mile range? LOL

Yeah, I agree for towing that is a sound concept. Unfortunately it's a RAM/Stellantis product which means it will spend half its life broken down.
  5. Cheburashka

    500 mile range? LOL

Ah, the famous "within Tesla spec"
  6. Cheburashka

    500 mile range? LOL

I mean.... They can patent a design but not sure they can defensibly patent an idea of carrying a battery in the bed.
  7. Cheburashka

    500 mile range? LOL

This is Tesla, no way this is the "final version". Every time Tesla releases a new model they come out with a bunch of fixes and improvements within a year.
  8. Cheburashka

What will you do with your Cybertruck reservation?

Yup, moreso the Lariat can be optioned with a panoramic opening sunroof. The "cheap" work truck model is also not bad overall considering it's 52k before incentives. Also, AWD standard.
  9. Cheburashka

    500 mile range? LOL

I was, in fact, not wrong.
  10. Cheburashka

    Launch is Imminent

Unfortunately the 7.5k promo is for Lariat only.
  11. Cheburashka

    Launch is Imminent

I can go buy a standard-range lightning for ~53K off the lot right now. The extended range, on the other hand, are harder to come by, but can still be found.
  12. Cheburashka

    Launch is Imminent

Haha! This is actually a genius move by Tesla :D
  13. Cheburashka

    Launch is Imminent

You have to be careful with your bed weight if you are towing because putting things in the bed reduces the allowable tongue weight. A travel trailer can easily have 1000lb tongue weight Even if it was possible, I don't think moving a 2000lb thing is feasible.
  14. Cheburashka

    Launch is Imminent

A diesel genny would actually make more sense than the battery pack because it's way lighter, so you could still use the truck for truck things.
  15. Cheburashka

    Launch is Imminent

Take a look at this abomination, lol. I guess the CT will be able to carry 500lb with this thing installed.
  16. Cheburashka

What will you do with your Cybertruck reservation?

I am getting a refund too. I am actually in the market for a truck but the pricing just doesn't make sense to me. For 80K I can get a Model X right now, which is a way more premium vehicle and driving experience. I couldn't care less about the 0-60 time of the CT or any truck for that matter...
  17. Cheburashka

    Launch is Imminent

Yeah there's a pic on the website where it takes up about a third of the bed. Considering the weight this will be a install and keep type thing, not something you can put in and out.
  18. Cheburashka

    Launch is Imminent

Wow that is truly a genius design and game changer!
  19. Cheburashka

What will you do with your Cybertruck reservation?

Now that the prices and specs are out. What are you planning to do?
  20. Cheburashka

    500 mile range? LOL

I like how they totally omitted that.
  21. Cheburashka

    Launch is Imminent

Yeah the AWD cybertruck is close to 6 figures with FSD optioned, right? That price doesnt include any options I think.
  22. Cheburashka

    Launch is Imminent

Those prices are insane! I'm out.
  23. Cheburashka

    Launch is Imminent

Does it matter? Look how well it did in the truck pull, which every truck owner knows and cares about!
  24. Cheburashka

    Launch is Imminent

I actually enjoy Elon's presenting style. It seems sincere and not pre scripted.
  25. Cheburashka

    Launch is Imminent

Yeah that's what I'm referring to. You mean the CT has no backup at all? If the computer crashes or it loses power then you lose all steering? No way..
  26. Cheburashka

    Launch is Imminent

Steer by wire has been around for a long time. Was it ever illegal? Drove an old ass Infiniti that had it.
  27. Cheburashka

    Launch is Imminent

Hahahahaha. Confirmation from a Tesla sales/sc employee = definitely not going to happen.

Towing motorcycle trailer with coil suspension?

Does anyone have experience towing a small motorcycle trailer with the coil suspension Model S? How bad does the hitch scrape on bumps? Our truck is getting long in the tooth.. with current truck prices I think it would make a lot of sense to just get a small moto trailer instead. We race dirt...
  29. Cheburashka

    500 mile range? LOL

I think you are right, it's almost always the first owners that get hosed. That said, if they come in at a super high price, it may lead to mass cancellation of reservations which would also be really bad for Tesla. So who knows what they are thinking...
  30. Cheburashka

    500 mile range? LOL

Yeah well the Ford Lightning isn't selling very well at those prices despite being a good truck with great features. In fact the "base" Lightning is somewhere around 55K.
  31. Cheburashka

    500 mile range? LOL

If its actually 50k then it will be a no brainier.
  32. Cheburashka

    500 mile range? LOL

Tesla basically created the mass market electric vehicle.
  33. Cheburashka

    Launch is Imminent

My experience with sales/service center employees is they know far less than anyone on this forum, so I would actually expect them to be wrong.

    Rear trunk won't open

Strange. Worked fine for me with that motor removed completely. Showed closed and everything,
  35. Cheburashka

    Rear trunk won't open

Yes, however what I found is you may need to manually push it shut sometimes as it doesn't fully close. The other thing I did is turn the trunk limiter adjusters all the way in, that way it closed on its own 90% of the time.
  36. Cheburashka

    Rear trunk won't open

Sorry to hear. I ended up buying the part off eBay to fix mine. Brand new was around $100.
  37. Cheburashka

    Access to the heater assembly?

Yep that would make the most sense. Either something to do with the thermostat, possibly wiring, or the actual mechanism for air circulation.
  38. Cheburashka

Love my sunroof, can’t get myself to upgrade

The Ford Lightning has a pretty nice opening panel roof similar to the old Model S one.
  39. Cheburashka

    Access to the heater assembly?

I don't think that makes logical sense to me. The PTC heater is just that.. an electric heater. It either works or it doesn't and it doesn't have any "sides".
  40. Cheburashka

    500 mile range? LOL

All they need to do is release the range and price to end these nonsense fanboy discussions. My guess is they haven't released them because the range is short and the price is high, but I hope I am wrong.
  41. Cheburashka

Love my sunroof, can’t get myself to upgrade

Same. Have a colleague that owns a Plaid X. Seems different but not much better. Not worth it to upgrade IMO.
  42. Cheburashka

Love my sunroof, can’t get myself to upgrade

I LOVE the sunroof in our Model S. My wife and I use it all the time, it's perfect for California weather. Frankly it's one of my favorite features in the car and something we use year round. We've also had zero problems with leaking, squeaking, or anything else.
  43. Cheburashka

    Vegan leather?

I would assume Leatherette is a BMW trademark/brand whereas the word vegan is generic while also being highly pretentious and obnoxious.
  44. Cheburashka

    Launch is Imminent

Exactly. And we can almost be certain that it will be a very poor tow vehicle for anything but short distances. Even supercharging with a trailer is awful because most superchargers are at the back of a parking spot, and there are very few pull through chargers. Hardcore truck users isn't the...

Model S Cabin Heater Stopped Working

I got quoted $683 for the same thing
  46. Cheburashka

How many of you will/may transition to CyberTruck?

Mind of a moot point since Tesla is supposed to open their supercharger network to Ford soon.
  47. Cheburashka

Model S Cabin Heater Stopped Working

Can you share the pricing from your work order? Thanks
  48. Cheburashka

How many of you will/may transition to CyberTruck?

Who cares? Most people don't ever tow anything, and people who tow a lot buy diesels. Interesting. Are you saying they are giving a $7500 rebate on top of the negotiated price with the dealer? That is kind of a tempting proposition.
  49. Cheburashka

How many of you will/may transition to CyberTruck?

I agree but I think it needs to be 250 miles or range and 60K. Yeah. Truck prices are just wild. I remember when I was in college my buddy got a deal on a new Ford Ranger and it was $12K. Brand new. These days that truck starts at $33K for the base model. Seems like such a rip off. It's...
  50. Cheburashka

How many of you will/may transition to CyberTruck?

Fake news. People will buy the CT simply because it's a Tesla.
