Anyone have this issue? Keeps disconnecting momentarily to the point of unusability. Worked great for nearly a year. Using the same phone. I recognize this is likely a Bluetooth issue and not related to Teslogic tech.
I will add, I test drove the S and X LR last week and vastly prefer my 3 LR. X was a creaky, wobbly mess and the S wasn't nimble.
I also test drove a Porsche Taycan 4S and GTS. 4S felt anemic compared to my 3. GTS is much better, however, but not worth 3x the cost of a 3. Particularly with...
There will be a police report and your footage will show he gave an incorrect report, which can be a criminal offence. That's for the police, not you. Since you're okay, a lawyer is unneeded and this is strictly an insurance matter.
I think our culture has become a little too quick to jump to...
So glad to hear. Yes, honking saves and another thing that can be easily missed is checking the "saved" folder. Eg if you honk it'll move to there versus the general folder. I thought I didn't have footage when I was rear ended but later discovered it was simply in the saved folder.
Let me know how it goes. I've gone twice to North York, both times they've heard it, used the special audio device to take recordings, and passed it along to their engineering team, and both times they've come back saying it's within spec and nothing is wrong. Kitchener is a 90min drive for me...
Congrats. I've done this twice and both times the tech has heard it; the second time extremely so. Still, even though they themselves diagnose it as front drive unit, they say it's within spec and nothing is wrong. This is using the special audio device. This is a YMMV issue.
I took this into the North York SC a second time. It was very loud in the first test drive. This time they kept the car for a WEEK and did multiple 20-30min drives on the highway with it. My app showed 4+ drives, I believe. This was with the car sitting out in the cold overnight in the parking...
I tried FSD on a loaner and it actually did the same thing when approaching a fork on the highway, where I didn't accept the lane change into Collectors as the Tesla didn't see the massive traffic the Express wasn't subject to. As a result it slowed down significantly and the 18-wheeler behind...
How many have gotten past the sound device? They recorded mine, said it was the front drive unit, but said it was within spec so they couldn't change anything. Their escalation involved forwarding the recording to Tesla engineering to have on hand, but they said this was not for my car...
I went to North York as well for my August '22 Model 3 LR.
They said it's front motor drive unit and they regularly hear rear motor but not front. They put a special audio device in and recorded it to send to Tesla Engineering--but the SC said it's within spec.
Annoyingly, the first 20min...
Gonna stick to the manual clip on with buttons. By the time it closes I'm down the street and can't see it. It opens a tad too late so I'm waiting there with the car. Just a better experience with the physical buttons.

I filed a police report as I was legally obligated to. Also legally obligated to disclose damage exceeding 2K at point of sale in Canada.
Thankfully I was found not at fault and the deductible was also waived. However, diminished value is still in question.
Model 3 LR is only two months old, for the past couple weeks it's been hissing whenever I drive, regardless of speed. It sounds to be coming from the left-front of the driver side. I've tried removing objects, pressing and pulling on things, and taking other advice I've found in related threads...
Thank you. Body shop quoted $3073 CDN with the below note. I have offered the at-fault driver to go outside insurance but have yet to hear back.
"I have attached a preliminary estimate for the repairs to your Tesla. I have put it down for a new rear bumper until we can take a better look at...
Insurance in Canada works as such: your insurance provider covers damage on your car only, regardless if you're blameless or at fault.
Diminished value is not a thing in Canada either. However some insurance companies quietly pay it out. I will ask for it, thank you.
The computer systems no...
I'm in Canada and my broker informed me her insurance doesn't cover my repairs--it's my insurance. Meaning, I'm out of pocket if I don't file a claim.
Also, computer systems just started malfunctioning...below + no regen breaking, lane departure, etc.
Apologies, I'm not entirely clear headed at the moment.
Are you suggesting I do or don't file a police report?
I don't know what the person will say. She was apologetic and knew she was at fault at the scene.
A police report was not mentioned by my insurance broker.
If they can keep...
I mean paint match on full rear bumper / trunk hood as they're both dented. Not paint touch up.
No police report, I called insurance and they didn't mention that.
I have license, (expired) insurance of person who hit me, license plate, and a witness.
Rear ended in parking lot. Car is 1 month old. Video recording skipped the accident but I got the contact of a witness.
Insurance is saying they've never heard of pushing insurance adjuster (CAA Insurance) for reduced value of CarFax on resale. But I've seen that mentioned here. How does one...
FYI I strongly recommend a tire dressing for these as the covers are fairly dark. Next to a dirty tire they don’t look nearly as good.
I use CarPro PERL diluted 1:1 with distilled water (and I use a CarPro Dillute spray bottle). I use an Adam’s Hex Grip applicator to thinly apply after washed...
They do stick out a bit, and I've curb-rashed one after two weeks. I've been mindful of this, but the parking situation that caused this was very poorly designed.
The problem: 1) They no longer have the Tesla logo. 2) I have the design that's slightly different (the star at the center curves a...
Not sure if anyone else is getting this glitch, but my max speed on auto pilot is 2km less than what's on the Tesla screen (which is correct).
But again: Best Tesla accessory, get it!
I have these and they’re great. They come default with T Center caps. Ali listings sometimes remove the logo for copyright purposes I imagine. But when you get it they’re there.
One of my groomsman from years ago works at the service center I went to and said this.
“The sealing and integrity of the windshield is unaffected the fitment is is purely aesthetic and if you'd like, the service center will do it for you no problem. The windshield job is quite invasive and...
Explains why the mechanic was trying to talk me out of it saying it’ll be replaced in the future when I come in for service. That statement perplexed me!
Thank you. They’re offering to fix it for free but my concern is them damaging paint or interior as they replace. Still advisable?
Also, would this type of fix go on CarFax?
