It’s usually due to the landowner. A pull through charger requires a lot more space and usually reconfiguring the car park layout. Sometimes you’ll find a site that suits but if the alternate option is no site, it’s better to get any site even if it doesn’t have pull through charging.

If they release a pickup in the US that can not challenge any of the specs that existing ICE pickups there have, no-one will buy it. It's similar to what they did with the Roadster, and to a degree the Model S. Destroy all the negative assumptions about range and performance right from the start.

The Supercharger rollout in Australia has accelerated massively in 2023. Data shown below in comparison to previous years. The "+8" refers to the 8 sites currently under construction which have the potential to open during December.

It's the first big one and the first with the new stall hardware! They've done Tenterfield, Wollongong, Blaxland, etc. and a few others. Not sure how they're going to handle the credit card requirements on the ones they've already installed. The stall hardware is easy enough to swap out I guess.

We're trying to reduce people using public chargers when they don't need to, to keep them available for those who do! My off-peak rate is 16.8c, so close enough to the 10.8c solar rate that the same logic above applies.
