    Deliveries of $80k X?

Which seems pretty dumb since it's their most expensive model.
  2. T

    Deliveries of $80k X?

Thats going to be a negative. This is the cheapest 2nd row bench seat design you’ll find in any 3-row vehicle and other larger SUVs. Even compared to vehicles half the price.
  3. T

Such thing as “Inventory” discount for model X?

Tesla always offers inventory discounts on all models. I’m seeing it right now on soke X’s in my area in California. Also, earlier this year, Tesla was even offering 3 years of free supercharging with a new S or X.

Will Model X Qualify for Tax Credit in 2024? Or disqualified because of battery requirements?

You don't even need to ask Tesla. The federal tax credit is, and has been, based on date of taking delivery. Period. If you dont pick up your vehicle by end of day December 31, 2024, the tax credit eligibility for 2023 will not count. Having said that, there have been news in the past week or...

    Cybertruck will be 800V

You must be new to Tesla. Prior delivery events were the same.

Felt like a typical Tesla delivery event to me: lacking substance.

Prediction: Model X price will be reduced to $78K in January 2024

Tesla’s air suspension (as well as air suspensions from other brands) are guaranteed to fail as well. Did that stop you from buying a Tesla or any other car with air suspension? I’ve had all four corners on my X replaced as well as the front two on my S. All times under warranty, thankfully.

    Tesla insurance investigation

I have had Tesla insurance and had claims experience. It truly is horrible. You’re getting a cheaper premium in lieu of customer service. Every phone call takes at least 2-3 hours to get someone on the line. Every email has at least 2 days of delay for a response. It just sucks. Period. If...

Prediction: Model X price will be reduced to $78K in January 2024

Tesla is really going to have to come down in price in the future on the S and X. The amenities in even a $60K car is more than Teslas. There's no way the vast majority of current ICE, and even some EV, drivers will pay $80K just to have a better charging network when most cars will soon...

Comfort Suspension Not Much of an Improvement

I did do a test drive very recently of a nearly brand new MYP with just 200 miles. Definitely scared me away from ordering a Y. It had a serious case of the sound pressure. Then I realized such issue happens quite frequently with the Y. I would have no problem ordering one if I can test drive...

Discussion: Model 3 and Y price drop Jan 2023 / April 2023 / Oct 2023 and All other Pricing Speculation going forward

With these inventory discounts, you can now assign a dollar value to free supercharging if one has the option to transfer since transferring requires clawing back the inventory discount.
  12. T

Comfort Suspension Not Much of an Improvement

It’s definitely inconsistent. From various online polls/surveys in the past on forums, I’d say very roughly 1/3 of Y’s exhibit the booming/pressure problem. Far too high for me to gamble and buy a Y. That’s a rabbit hole that has no end to remedies.
  13. T

Model X price cuts- yet again

Well, not quite. Some cars are actually investments. Vast majority aren’t, but there are some. I would say EVs are definitely not. Electric cars right now are the same thing as computers. Ie. I’ve lost almost no money from an M2 I bought very long ago. Maybe even worth more now.
  14. T

Prediction: Model X price will be reduced to $78K in January 2024

Tesla has done nothing to fix this as far as I'm aware.
  15. T

2024 Tax Credit vs Unlimited Supercharging Transfer

Not true. Tesla has consistently lowered prices accordingly when tax credits were reduced.

Lucid Gavity 😲 Awesome.. 440 Mi Range @ about $80K

I get it that if you re-read what I wrote. The $76K Air Pure can do 400 miles. More than likely the Gravity will also do that at $80K. Just like it’s the same battery in all trims of the Model S and X.
  17. T

Lucid Gavity 😲 Awesome.. 440 Mi Range @ about $80K

Who knows. Even the “$63K” trim Model X has more range than a $100K Model X. But, whatever trim has the 440mi battery, it’ll be close. Given how the Model S is relative to the X, and given how much range the Air has, I’d wager 400mi in real world range is likely with the Gravity. Very good.

    Deliveries of $80k X?

But, given Tesla’s history, I’d be willing to bet a good amount that Tesla will lower the MSRP in an equal amount to any model that sees a reduction in the tax credit eligibility.
  19. T

Prediction: Model X price will be reduced to $78K in January 2024

Unfortunately, one of the many new changes compared to an older X is the lack of sensors by going vision-only. The constant beeps when parking is annoying as heck. I know you can turn it off, but then you have a $80K car that can’t even detect surroundings.
  20. T

    Deliveries of $80k X?

Because the automakers need to file for it in the new year.
  21. T

    2024 VINs?

I will bet, based on repeated Tesla’s history of price adjustments, that Tesla lowers the price of the X or Y (or any other vehicle) by an equal amount to a reduction in the tax credit, if any.

    Model X 6 seater or......

The 6-seater is a little awkward IMO. There’s no arm rests or center console in the Model X, and so your arms just have to kind of rest on your laps and nowhere to put anything. Also, as another mentioned, the seats don’t fold. But, then also, the 2nd row bench seating just seems too cheap to...

Thoughts on the i4 M50 from a former M3P owner

Great review. That model has been on our minds for a while as we decide what to upgrade our commuter. (Long road trips and family trips are with an X). I’m very interested in a performance Highland 3 or Y, but that realistically seems like it’s 2-3 years out. So, for now, something like the i4...

    Model Y to Model X?

Just FYI, regarding the screen in front of driver behind the wheel, there’s plenty of really great aftermarket options. Same thing if you wanted a screen for the rear. Also, you can add a aftermarket powered frunk to any Tesla. To be frank, I don’t have much hope that Tesla will fix the phantom...

Finally! Free Unlimited Super Charging FUSC can be transferred

Yea, this is kind of strange. Does the Tesla employee that reached out to singleview not know that the transfer agreement prohibits transfers of FUSC to a demo car that is discounted? Or, are the rules not strictly enforced, or maybe even changed? Obviously, they know a transfer is requested...

    Deliveries of $80k X?

Amazon has an equally large, if not larger, investment with Stellantis to have EDVs just like that of Rivian’s. There’s really no guarantee that Amazon will continue with Rivian, especially after they ended exclusivity with Rivian IMO. Amazon slowed down their purchasing of Rivian EDVs, and so...

    Model Y to Model X?

Here in CA, it took about 1.5 months. This happened at the end of summer this year. So, what you heard sounds about right. Was rescheduled twice by Tesla due to part not showing up by the scheduled date.

2024 EV tax POS tax credit no tax liability required

The $80K limit imposed by the IRS change won’t change, just the amount of credit based on the % sourcing and assembly requirements going up. I can’t guarantee Tesla will lower prices accordingly, but just saying Tesla has done so in the past. They do like to make surprises in either direction...

    Model Y to Model X?

Did you feel like it’s worth ~$30K more than a Model Y? Can almost get a 3 and a Y for the price of an X. 1. Like you said, all you can do is raise the seat as high as you can. They’re some small visors relative to the size of the car. 2. Make sure you get windshield coverage on your insurance...
  32. T

2024 EV tax POS tax credit no tax liability required

If history at Tesla repeats itself—as it has over and over in the past—any price reduction will be nearly equal to the amount of any reduction in tax credits. That might actually be better since you can then add an option for either interior color choice or 7 seats and still stay under the $80K...

    Deliveries of $80k X?

Amazon can easily pull out their money any time. They have yet to get started on the GA plant. They literally just signed for the ground lease last week.
  34. T

Prediction: Model X price will be reduced to $78K in January 2024

In no way does the X feel like a tank. It’s just like a bigger car. You should drive a Rivian. Now, that feels like a tank.

Model X Demo Car Sales in December?

“Sometimes”? Has there been anyone who hasn’t gotten their Tesla’s half shaft replaced under warranty at one point. Or, am I just the unlucky one to have all my Teslas’ half shafts replaced, along with the upper control arms.

Superchargers in Northern California (location speculation)

Hayward has chargers, San Leandro has chargers, Dublin has chargers, San Ramon has chargers, Pleasanton has chargers. Every city but Castro Valley.
  37. T

    2017 Model X vs 2023 Model X

    1. The Supercharger station doesn’t have to have a Magic dock or be a V4 for non-teslas to use starting next year. Many automakers that have decided to go NACS will be providing their owners with adaptors to use on existing superchargers. That’s their transition to going fully NACS in 2025. 2...
  38. T

    2017 Model X vs 2023 Model X

With the Tesla network opening up next year, and the adoption of NACS, the Tesla network exclusive benefit is going to be a non-factor, IMO. In fact, I don't know how much I'd rely on it as I do now since because for sure it will get congested. There's already always a wait at my nearest...

Wiki Model X Order/Delivery Tracking - Google Sheet

Given Tesla's history, the chance of a price reduction in the same amount as a reduction of any tax credits is extremely likely. Almost guaranteed. Might be even better to wait as a price reduction is better than a tax credit, and see how it plays out because FUSC is apparently still valid even...

Model X Demo Car Sales in December?

Do people only buy red in your neighborhood? :) Across the street are also two red cars in front of a red house.

    Deliveries of $80k X?

But, is there a guarantee that the tax credit for the X will stay at $7,500 in the new year?

Upgrade to X from Y for young family?

Definitely not the 6 seat. The inability to flat fold second row seats is a huge deal breaker for us. And, once you put a car seat into one of the two second row seats of a 6-seat X, it’s similarly inconvenient to get into the third row, taking away the benefit of having that middle seat space...

Looking For Backseat side headrest for kids

The Tesla headrest design is one of the worst design aspects of their cars IMO.

Finally! Free Unlimited Super Charging FUSC can be transferred

Ohh, thanks for that. Didn’t know about it. Would’ve been nice if Tesla CS just told me that. Their response was “We’ll let you know more information as we get closer to your original delivery date.” Well, I’m currently in my original delivery window of November, hah.
  45. T

Finally! Free Unlimited Super Charging FUSC can be transferred

If my delivery estimate changed from November to January-February, should I take that as a sign I will most likely not get delivery this year to take advantage of the charging transfer? That was the only reason I decided to order a new X at the moment.
  46. T

Superchargers in Northern California (location speculation)

Why is there a complete void of superchargers in Castro Valley area? Not even any permits shown on supercharge.info.
  47. T

    out of luck?

Ohh, if you actually believe everything a sales rep says, you'll be in for quite some disappointment. There's got to be a thread somewhere of all the clueless things that Tesla sales reps have said.
  48. T

    Sport seats?

The narrow headrests of Teslas are seriously one of the few things I genuinely hate about their cars.

    Deliveries of $80k X?

Yea, I’m not in CO. So, those rebates mean nothing to me, unfortunately. (Does the iX not qualify for rebates also in CO)? The MXLR also goes to almost $90K by adding the bigger wheels and a non-black interior. And, people aren’t paying close to MSRP for iX. 10% off MSRP is the norm, and can do...
