It’s definitely inconsistent. From various online polls/surveys in the past on forums, I’d say very roughly 1/3 of Y’s exhibit the booming/pressure problem. Far too high for me to gamble and buy a Y. That’s a rabbit hole that has no end to remedies.

Well, not quite. Some cars are actually investments. Vast majority aren’t, but there are some. I would say EVs are definitely not. Electric cars right now are the same thing as computers. Ie. I’ve lost almost no money from an M2 I bought very long ago. Maybe even worth more now.

I get it that if you re-read what I wrote. The $76K Air Pure can do 400 miles. More than likely the Gravity will also do that at $80K. Just like it’s the same battery in all trims of the Model S and X.

Who knows. Even the “$63K” trim Model X has more range than a $100K Model X. But, whatever trim has the 440mi battery, it’ll be close. Given how the Model S is relative to the X, and given how much range the Air has, I’d wager 400mi in real world range is likely with the Gravity. Very good.

But, given Tesla’s history, I’d be willing to bet a good amount that Tesla will lower the MSRP in an equal amount to any model that sees a reduction in the tax credit eligibility.

Unfortunately, one of the many new changes compared to an older X is the lack of sensors by going vision-only. The constant beeps when parking is annoying as heck. I know you can turn it off, but then you have a $80K car that can’t even detect surroundings.

Definitely not the 6 seat. The inability to flat fold second row seats is a huge deal breaker for us. And, once you put a car seat into one of the two second row seats of a 6-seat X, it’s similarly inconvenient to get into the third row, taking away the benefit of having that middle seat space...
