This is exactly what my local SC stated to me - always available WiFi is key to receiving the latest updates. This said, I made modifications to ensure good WiFi overnight, but according to my Teslafi account, my MY just sleeps the nights away ...
Seems if you are a M3/MY owner with vision only and with no FSD then you are SOL with receiving recent updates. Oops, that’s me! Just have to be patient!
I did that once. When I opened the driver door on my MY, I got a message on the screen that basically implied “hey dummy, you didn’t put the vehicle in park, so the vehicle automatically did this for you”. That was enough of a reminder for me that I haven’t done so since.
No reason to feel bad about anything, demo and inventory cars are available to everyone/anyone who decides to buy them. I’m one with an early April order and the order has an August delivery date. So, I just did the same exact thing and found a match in inventory and pulled the trigger...
After 10 weeks of totally unresponsive frustration with my order and more importantly with my SA, the saga is hopefully over.
Found an exact match in inventory and pulled the trigger!
Final score:
SA - No points in ten weeks.
Me - The game winning shot with just two days of inventory...
Are you saying you didn’t actually “buy” the car with the $100 order fee but called your SA and had them assign that VIN to your original order? If so, you were lucky it wasn’t bought before you reached your SA. What about transport charges?
I understand your reasoning and you state valid points but I don’t buy into all of it. At some point someone at the DC has to have visibility into the production distribution line. In terms of inventory, it’s dynamic and what’s true one moment can quickly change. It may also be true that the DA...
Honestly, I don’t really understand what a SA does. A SA should be spending their time doing exactly that, matching orders to availability, whenever they are not dealing with walk-in customers.
Unable to successfully search Model Y with any interior option other than black. All other choices give 0 results. (Thought this worked successfully in the past.)
What exactly did you ask or say to the DA in NJ when you called them? Did you ask to have the VIN associated to your account? I may try this method to get mine, my current location and SA are borderline worthless.
Interesting, I logged into my account and went to the overview page of my order and was presented with a different webpage design, with all of the normal information on it. I actually liked the updated webpage. Logged out, signed back in, and got the original overview webpage we are all familiar...
It’s a BS tweet from Elon. Simply they didn’t have the supply to proceed (and/or the supply pricing went up dramatically - which is the other side of the same coin). Typically if there is a family member who almost always sits in the passenger seat, you set up the lumbar support once and there...
Okay, it’s now become a pattern we’ve seen before. The “3 - 13 weeks” was simply a Memorial Day Weekend placeholder. Not the first time we’ve seen placeholders for other time events.
Simply put, as we are all aware, it’s just Elon providing us entertainment.
Has anyone who got the “3 - 13 week delivery” notification change in the last few days seen any new activity? I figure there are only two reasons why this was done to so many people. 1) it’s a placeholder for all upcoming Q2 deliveries or 2) Tesla still has -currently unknown to the public-...
My wife is also a RN and been frontline since the beginning. Your wife is one of the true heroes that has saved many lives at the potential cost of their own and their family members. Worth reflecting on this Memorial Day.
For those of you that previously went to different SCs and found large numbers of cars in inventory awaiting delivery; has all of the inventory now been depleted and (presumably) delivered to customers?
SOS DD
Estimated delivery: 3-13 weeks
We will reach out to you to schedule your delivery date. Delivery time frame is based on order date, profile submission, delivery location and vehicle configuration.
I do watch this thread regularly, 99% as part of my daily entertainment value, knowing that the stated delivery times are posted just for that reason, as entertainment value. I know this is true for the vast majority of you, whether you state so or not! 🙂 We all need to do something while we...
