    Wiper System V4

I have had that happen too. I suspect it is not to do with the version specifically. When it happened to me I kind of thought that the wiper camera was perhaps picking up a random reflection from the street lights - our suburban streets are not well lit.

    Wiper System V4

Thanks Soul for your reply. I have had that happen too - even in my garage first thing in the morning. However, my problem is that they never come on, even when the windshield is completely covered in dense rain droplets - I can't see a thing! Waiting the system out to see if it will ever...

    Turn Signal Mechanism Disassembly

I have a 2019 M3 running 2023.44.30.14. I find that 90% of the time the first detent position on the turn signal mechanism doesn’t work when turning left, and the signal acts as though it is in the second detent position. Turning right, both the first and second detent positions work...

    Wiper System V4

Can anyone confirm whether the V4 wiper system has been deployed or not? I have a 2019 M3 running 2023.44.30.14. I live in BC, Canada where we get a fair bit of rain. The wipers are still absolutely useless and driving in the rain with the wipers set on automatic is extremely dangerous. Thank...

    The auto wipers are............working!

Hanging from my rear view mirror, my after-market rain-sensing pixie always gets it right, even if Tesla's rain sensor doesn't...

Anyone in Victoria, BC Willing to Give a Demo?

Hi, I live in Surrey, BC so not really any help to you. I will be in Victoria in late August but that is a long time away. I would suggest you repost your request on the BC TMC forum, where you might likely find someone who can oblige... BC TMC | Tesla Motors Club

5GHz WiFi connects but doesn't work?

Don't think is firmware issue... I downloaded and installed 2019.24.4 yesterday morning over my 5 GHz network connection.

5GHz WiFi connects but doesn't work?

Try deleting the 5 Ghz network entry from the car's list of connected/known networks, and then reselect the 5 GHz network from the networks available list and enter the password (as opposed to just disconnecting and reconnecting).

Dashcam Flash Drive - Volume Error on Plugging Drive Into Windows (10)

Yes, it is a Tesla SW issue, which is what I said in my post; I never indicated it was a hardware issue. I do not agree with your contention that Tesla has no way to cleanly dismount a drive. For two reasons: (1) If Tesla can mount a drive for writing (to), they can certainly dismount a drive...

Dashcam Flash Drive - Volume Error on Plugging Drive Into Windows (10)

The primary focus of my post was the volume error dialogue that Windows throws, not the use of an external drive. I clearly indicated in the last line of my post that I could have a head crash on the drive, which was a warning to others who might consider trying this (if they haven't already)...

Dashcam Flash Drive - Volume Error on Plugging Drive Into Windows (10)

I'm not sure if this has been covered by another post or not... After formatting my flash drive to FAT32 and plugging it into my M3SR+, the drive mounted and worked ok. However, after stopping the dashcam recordings (as prescribed by Tesla), removing the drive and then plugging it into my...

NoA not wanting to stay in HOV lane

I live in BC, Canada. Going north on Hwy 99 from Surrey, the HOV lane splits away from the main highway and runs parallel to it, then it splits away again, semi-terminating at a traffic light controlled intersection before continuing on the other side of the intersection for entry into the Deas...

    Changing PM policy

    (1) Is PM working now? If so, how do I PM a member? (2) Also, I am a member of the BC TMC Forum. I can edit my posts (if done soon after posting) on the main forums such as the Model 3 forum but there is no similar option available to me on the BC TMC Forum to correct my typos or edit. Does...

    Vehicle Connection Error

Are you saying that the MS person told you that the car only supports 2.4 GHz WiFi or that the 5 GHz signal was too weak/the interference too great for it to reliably work? My car is connected to my 5 GHz WiFi network and works fine, although my car is within 8 feet of my router and with no...

    Non-existent Customer Service

I don't think anyone who has posted in this thread has suggested they are expecting Tesla to be a "perfect company": no one is that naive. More to the point, regardless of whether it is an expensive car or and inflatable airbed, if a customer has a problem, one expects that company to have an...

    Non-existent Customer Service

I totally agree with SJV Commish. I have had my model 3 for exactly three months, and for all of those ownership months customer service has been lousy, across the board: mobile service, service center and online store. Absolutely not what you would expect from a luxury car manufacturer...

    The auto wipers are............working!

Hi Kengchang, Using your math at $10 per sensor and 200K Tesla’s, that comes to $2M, which is peanuts. Tesla is likely spending 10s of $M trying track the automatic wiper problems, let alone the software development costs associated with trying to find fixes and regression testing before...

    The auto wipers are............working!

I had a 2006 BMW model 3 (which I recently sold to buy the Tesla) and in 13 years of use the BMW's automatic wipers worked flawlessly. Four days ago I had my new Tesla Model 3, with 600 miles on it, in for service to look at an intermittent, random problem where the automatic wipers turn on...

    Vehicle Connection Error

I also had this problem two weeks with my one month old Model 3. I tried a number of things including two different iPhones, killing the Tesla app and restarting, waiting an extended period of time, rebooting the phone, disabling Wi-Fi on the phone and using my cell phone's data plan to connect...
