That’s actually kinda odd, if you look at the spreadsheet there are 5 entries for that VIN including past deliveries. Wonder if that’s a placeholder value that the website shares rather than the actual VIN?

Interestingly I received an automated email from Tesla this morning to prepare for delivery by having my documents all submitted and uploaded. Most of them were already checked. It’s almost like I just ordered the car, perhaps in the next 2 weeks there will be a VIN?

If there is reason for optimism it’s the Q1 earnings report stating that they are trying to shift their delivery strategy from how they did things last quarter, which may mean there will be a North America batch in the coming weeks instead of close to the end of June.

Because they are in need of sales and several wouldn’t order if they knew the inventory was unpredictable or a 4+ weeks waiting cycle. That and it’s perhaps it is their goal to deliver within 2 weeks still (and they were actually doing so when they had cars in inventory) but goals are not...

If you look at the Teslike Model 3 survey you’ll see there were several configuration dates that were closely aligned with the VIN dates which leads me to believe that there were some production efforts. March 30th is the newest Peformance VIN, it was configured on March 17th.

There were some, if you look back on the thread (all built in March or earlier). I know you have been waiting the longest, hang in there. I think there are enough of us waiting where we will see a batch hopefully made in the next week or two + shipping/delivery times.

I am waiting on Red/Black and wanted to see what inventory options I had and it came up there were a few cars in the region and 1 in Fremont. I am sticking with my initial choice for now but wanted to see how compelling the pricing was to switch.
