so what will be the winter temp in your garage? Why do you pipe in outside air for winter? Wouldn't winter outside air be too cold? My rheem 80G is in our basement, uninsulated, winter temp about 62F, summer about 66F, I think the inlet temp of water is affecting the efficiency in my case.

I have just realized the weirdness of this! I plugged in a usb c to usb an adapter, then a usb a to usb c cable, then a rpi usb c female to usb c male power switch, and it worked. Yet, if I skip the usb adapter and go the direct usb c connections, it does not work. Thanks for mentioning this.

Installed 45.1 without problem. It ran well for my short test. I even tried using Bluetooth internet tethering and it’s faster than previous version, but still had one or 2 disconnects for CarPlay and the screen flashes a little bit. We’ll need a longer drive to know more.

If you want your Tesla to remain connected to the internet, then you need the lte dongle with functioning sim. If you don’t care for that, then no need to have the lte dongle.

If it’s running and a software update comes in, it will blow the 500mb, so how much data it uses really depends on that. If no software update, then it doesn’t use much. Also depends on if you use Tesla YouTube or other streaming services.
