    Sat Nav Useless

You can use waze from the Tesla browser. Just type in tesla waze in the browswer. Also, here's a YouTube video showing how to do it.

    Speed Limited on Autopilot

I have a few areas where I get that message. One is a narrow, two lane windy road with almost no shoulders, so that makes sense. However, the others are on a stretch of road that is part of a divided four lane highway with well marked lines, wide shoulders and no curves. The message/restriction...

    I bought a 6 digit car...not a video game.

Tesla is a tech company that makes cars, not a traditional car company. I want new "meaningful" features too, but I'm willing to bet that every update has more than just games and farts. There's most likely updates to the key features like FSD that we don't see, but are still being improved...

    90 percent charge has increased

Sometimes the car will automatically go through a battery management/conditioning process. It usually does it after a charge. What probably happened was your charge completed, the conditioning process happened and it gave you "more" range.

Got a new, white Model 3, and the quality is dreadful [Humor: Model 3 toy]

You clearly bought the base model 3.

The perfect Model 3 emergency jack?

I read every post in this entire thread, and you guys have come up with some great ideas and "solutions" . But how many flat tires are you guys getting??? I think I've had one in the last 15 years!! Yes, when I got my Model X, I worried about not having a spare, especially when I realized...

Tesla doesn't report nearly as detailed information as most other car companies do.

From what I understand, Enhanced Summon is only going to a small number of EAP participants.

Lane Departure Avoidance issue when pedestrians are present

I have a Model X, and I can definitely say that it does hug the center yellow line. I frequently drive a road that has safety bumps in the center of the yellow line and on about 10% of the right hand turns, the front wheel is hitting those bumps, which means that tire is in the center of the...

    A crazy thought

Many high end cards get registered in Montana. No taxes, no inspection, no residency requirements. Insurance may be an issue. Do some googling and you'll find plenty of info about it.

Vendor Your Tesla's here. What will you do first?

Have you ever used the repair kit? It's my understanding that the stuff won't seal properly because of the foam inner liner on the OEM tires.

    FSD just increased price

I'm not trying to be an a$$, but if a $1300 difference is causing you financial pain or uncertainness, maybe you should hold off on buying a car that is stretching your budget that tight. If that's not the case, spend the money! It's a small extra amount to make sure you have all whistles and...

Holding acceleration constant without cruise set

I consider myself a very smooth driver, but I do seem to have a little more trouble maintaining a constant speed compared to my last ICE vehicle. It seems like the slightest change in touch of the accelerator pedal can change speed a few MPH. Part of that may be because of the regen braking...

Better cupholders and/or way to remove sliding console door??

I have that one as well, but the cup holders in that are tiny also. I typically have two Yeti tumblers up front and they won't fit together in that one.

Paint scuff on black plastic trim around front wheel well

Be careful with a magic eraser. They can be great, but it's really just melamine foam, which becomes hard when cured and it acts like ultra fine sandpaper.

    Be Safe Out There

Did you have Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking activated? Seems like that might have avoided the collision or at least slowed you down some.

Silly Question: How do you "Hold the Wheel" if it's Turning?

Yes, the moving the steering wheel buttons (or turn signal stalk) show the car that you are attentive and turn off the warning.

Except for being electric is it really that good

What vehicles have that? Noise cancellation works by sampling the noise that the listener hears and providing "opposite" sounds to effectively cancel that sound. Having microphones on the suspension would pick up sounds that the suspension is making, but those may be a totally different...

Gulp... I guess this is really happening

@Dads-reward - I understand how you feel. I went it to test drive a Model 3, figuring I'd get a new driving experience for about the same $50k I typically spend on a new car. Unfortunately at the moment I went in for the test drive they didn't have a Model 3 available to drive. So I drove a...

Better cupholders and/or way to remove sliding console door??

IMO, the X has the worst cup holder layout I've seen in a long time. The two under the arm rest are useless because they are too far back and they would negate the ability to use the arm rest. The two down in the console are OK and I like the adjustability of them, but if you try to put two...

    Best products for interior cleaning?

I'm curious as to what others are using to clean the interior of their Model X's. I'm specifically looking for suggestions on what to use to clean black part of the lower half of the doors. Unlike my cream seats and trim, I'm not even sure what that black material is. It almost feels rubbery...

Would you pick free lifetime supercharging or AP2/3?

To me the question is simply a matter of what's more important to you. Do you want to save money with free Supercharging, or do you want the latest technology? For me it's a new brainer. I'm a technology geek and always strive for the latest and greatest that I can afford. Even though I never...

How will Full Self Driving deal with turning into perpendicular fast-moving traffic?

All good questions and comments. I think the camera coverage is adequate but the range concerns me a bit because that doesn't give the car much time to "decide" and go. Of course, if the neural network is designed to make our cars "think" like humans, maybe our cars will just pull into traffic...

    Should Tesla advertise a bit?

For the most part, Tesla currently is able to sell everything they build without advertising. Increasing the demand at this point might make supply chain/delivery problems worse. Advertising works because of repetition. Tesla would have to spend huge dollars over time which probably isn't in...

    Dirty car/winter driving

The unlimited exterior wash at my local car wash is the best $20 a month I spend. It's rare that more than 2 days go by without me getting it washed. The car attracts so many looks from passer bys, I always want it to look it's best!

NEMA 14-50 adapter no longer included with vehicles

IMO the HPWC is the best solution for home charging. Mine cost about $1200 installed (including the HPWC), or about 1% the cost of my Model X. Even if you buy a base Model 3, it's still only around 3% of the vehicle cost. Why wouldn't you want to make that small additional investment for the...

What defects have you found at/after delivery?

Mine was a 12/18 build. Took delivery 4/8/19 (showroom demo car) with 1800 miles. Detailed to look exactly like a new car. Only issue was a small tear in the weather-stripping on the drivers side door, and some very minor panel alignment issues (comparable with every other car I've ever owned)...

Should I buy HW3 now or wait for hw4?

They'll always be developing a new version. Just like every other technology company.

How are people applying enough force in NOA steering?

I have a similar issue on my Model X. Just lightly resting my hand(s) at the base or top of the wheel doesn't seem to satisfy the cars need for feedback. I can squeeze the wheel with some force to satisfy the warning, but it's an unnatural effort compared to just "lightly" gripping the wheel...

    Driving Height of Model X

I came from a 2016 Grand Cherokee. Ride height and general visibility is similar, except for the very limited visibility through the rear view mirror on the X, but I quickly got used to that. Both vehicles have limited visibility because of big A pillars, so I was already used to that.
