    Grinding/banging noise from front wheel?

To me, it sounds like damaged balls or rollers in the wheel bearing assembly. I would replace the bearings then inspect the removed parts to confirm the diagnosis.

Request "Load Test" for new Solar install?

It is not a problem placing the system on line as soon as the install is complete. It is just a formality. If they do like all of the installs I have seen they will bring the system on line for a final test, but then have to take it back off until the utility inspector has OKed the system. The...

Used panels from Tesla (Should I?)

At about $1.30 a Watt that is a super deal, take it. It would be hard to find a deal for less than $2.50 a Watt anywhere in the US. That would be an excellent price even in Australia where a good price is about $1.50 a Watt.

    Powerwall breaker keeps tripping

numeric: This problem sounds like a defective breaker. To check it out, switch the suspect breaker with one of the other PowerWall breakers, if the same breaker trips, replace the faulty unit. If the replacement breaker now trips call Tesla, it is a PowerWall problem.

Tesla Solar and Powerwall for a large home?

Most AC condensing units are not that efficient. If they do not have inverter driven motors both on the fan and compressor, they are old technology. Upgrading these items before you add batteries will reduce the number of Powerwalls required. Another massive consumer of your electrical energy is...

    Choosing a panel type?

The specification to look for in respect to panel temperature is called "Temperature Coefficient (Pmax)". Units are %change in power output per degree Cº change in panel temperature. The typical range for Silicon panels are from - 0.2 to -0.5 %/Cº. The smaller the number the, better.

Can PW2s be 70 feet from the main panel?

I have two PWs mounted just below my bedroom and can't hear a thing. Even sitting in the room with them, they are silent except for the small cooling fan that I can barely hear.

Recommendations for auxiliary AC for blackouts

I would look into mini-splits. My brother put in one in his bedroom so he could shut down his central AC at night. After one year he put in two more mini-splits and removed the old central system. His air conditioning cost has dropped by more than 50%

A Micro Grid for Puerto Rico

Brando, for your information, Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA), supplies 100% of the electricity in Puerto Rico by law. It is wholly owned by the Puerto Rico government, so "making the utility public" is the problem. I would suggest keeping the transmission and distribution...
