    Tesla Y & towing

That would have been great! We have three trailer's and that would make the two smaller legal for being pulled a TMY. I was aware of the weight adjustment for the Model 3, but that is still not even close to what is needed.

    Tesla Y & towing

There actually is a Norwegian law (Bilforskriften) covering this: § 16.Krav til bil og tilhenger til bil/utstyr i bruk Bil og tilhenger til bil/samt godkjenningspliktig utstyr i bruk skal opprettholdes i slik utførelse/vedlikeholdes slik at de til en hver tid tilfredsstiller de krav som gjaldt...

Keep my Model S or get a Model Y?

My wife wants a smaller car than the TMS, so our S75D from 2016 will go and she'll most probably go for a Model Y if it comes with a 1600 kg or more trailer hitch. We also have a 2002 Mitsubishi L200 pickup on's last legs and the plan is to get a Cybertruck instead, unless it takes years to get...

    Tesla Y & towing

This really is interesting if this is a trailer hitch from Tesla! If the Model Y could tow 3500-4300 pounds, that would be just perfect!

    Tesla Y & towing

That would be illegal in Norway. A towing hitch must be certified by the producer and, when mounted, also be described in the cars papers. Getting an un-certified welded/bolted on taking a weight of more than 75 kg would result in a heavy fine and possibly deny use of the car until it was...

    Thanksgiving 2019 Supercharger lines?

This has been a problem West of Oslo in Norway at Lierstranda for years, actually most days and especially in the very early morning and the afternoon & evenings. In weekends it was hopeless. Now it's much better as Tesla has built several more SuC's towards the South and Northwest in addition...

Tesla Model Y Launch Expected Ahead Of Schedule In Q1 2020

I really hope they'll export the TMY in the fall og 2020 as Norway probably will be getting a 25 % VAT (Value Added Tax - sales tax for Americans) by January 4. 2021.

    Tesla Y & towing

Why would you believe that to be so certain? The TMY will have a different rear chassis than the TM3 and will be launched as a SUV crossover. SUV's usually pull a lot more than sedans.

    Tesla Y & towing

My wife & I have each our TMS, but the wife wants a smaller shopping car and we really need a proper trailer hitch. I reserved a Model 3 some years ago, but when the trailer hitch only could take 910 kg, it was of no use to us. The TMX towes 2500 kg, that would be great, but I just can't like...

If you had to go back to ICE, what would you choose?

I just wouldn't. I live in Norway where about 100 % of our electricity is hydropower and, compared to most of Europe, fairly inexpensive. After we got out first 2016 TMS75D I was 'sold'. I had a Merc 500 SEC, then an Audi A8 and the wife a 2015 eGolf (fun in Summer, terrible in Winter - no...

    Differences between AP

I totally agree that the AP2 is way better than the AP1 on lane changes, but reading traffic signs are more important for me. Also - the AP2 has become a lot more skittish after the two last revisions, This might be due to Tesla trying out for FSD, but it is unpleasant for driver & passenger.

    Differences between AP

We have two Tesla S's. The wife drives a Q3 2016 TMS75D with AP1 and I drive a Q2 2018 TMS100D with AP2,5. The rather frustrating thing is that her AP still is way better than mine. Mine is slightly better at holding the lanes, but hers is way better on everything else. It reads signs, mine...
