I bought my modelX I’m June. Tesla was able to change out the interior trim to carbon fiber. Cost is $1300. Did it after I received the car. Looks way better than the wood trim.

Front windows @ 35% and back windows @45%. Windshield @ 70%

The shop replaced the tint on the cloudy windows. I went with 35% instead of 55%. No more haze.

You should. The owner called xpel and they said there should be no haze or cloudiness. He said it might be a bad tint roll that they had.

Just an Update: Took the car back to the tint shop and the owner was awesome. They replaced the tint. Instead of going with 55% tint I went darker the 35%. The cloudy haze is gone.

It's been about 2 months now for me and still waiting for title and plates.

Yes, I've been reading up on the low angle haze effect. However with this tint it is there all the time. Hopefully all it needs is a little more time to fully cure...thanks...

I've been reading online it might take up to a month for it to fully cure. I've been parking the car outside to see if the sun can help cure it better than being in the garage. I'll wait another week to see if it clears up...

I was hoping the windows were dirty...but they're not. I've cleaned it and the haze/cloudiness is still there.

Yes at 55% transparent. It's on the windshield also which I did at 70%.

They would tint the windshield but not the two glass roof on the FWD.

Just spoke to my local shop about tinting all the glass window on my MX. They recommend not to tint the glass roof on the FWD. The reason is because the glass lies flat and will create too much heat and will potentially crack the underlying glass. This is the first time I've heard of this...

When I ordered the car, my owner adviser did not recommend after market carbon fiber wrap but he said tesla can change out the wood trim to carbon fiber. Cost is $1500. We will see if his word hold up when I bring the car in. If you don't mind can you post pics of your carbon fiber wrap. Thanks.

I am not a big fan of the wood trim too. I have setup an appointment for the due bill stuff. Hoping I can have them replace with carbon fiber.

I am looking into XPEL wrap and prestige spectra photosync tint for my MX. Today is the 8th day since we got the car, so point of no return.. I've contacted Extreme Autowerks in Brea and they quoted me $2140 for full tint and $7500 for full wrap. Are these the going rate? Are there any other...

Just to update: I took a spin on the freeway last night and it actually calibrated. It took about 120 miles to complete the calibration. Thanks.

For those who recently received their MX, how long did it take for your MX to complete Calibration. I've been driving around and coming on to about 100 miles, it still says "Calibration in Progress". My blindspot detection is nonexistence. The car is currently on version 2019.15.102. Thanks

Another Update: Vin finally appeared in my account page. Just spoke to Costa Mesa delivery and they said if the MX arrive tomorrow then I can pick it up. If not then latest is this coming Monday.

My car was in the final stage (car was being painted) as of June 5th (two days ago) when I called. I called today and they said the car will arrive at my delivery center this coming Sunday. Hope that helps.

I ordered a long range MX and I wanted the carbon fiber trim. My OA said it was only for MX performance. He said if I want it done after the car is delivered Tesla can do it for $1500. I don’t know if it’s worth it though.

Update: Just got off the phone with HQ: car is slated to arrive in Costa Mesa this Sunday. So stoked right now. Hopefully everything goes smoothly.
