V10 update: 2019.32.12.1 [Release notes same as previous V10 versions]

They did one such update that I am aware of when they found the bug in dog mode.

Do you use touch-less automatic washes?

OK so I've had my Model 3 since April and I've been afraid to take it to a car wash because I'm not sure exactly how to get the car to run through it. The wash near me is a touch-less with a wheel track but you do not stay in the car. I live in a condo so it's either that or a pay self wash...

    Model 3 Software version 2019.32.x

This is what happens when you let the wrong types of people design a website. They saw it as a process. You go to support, then you search through all of the stuff there. Hopefully you find what you need, but when you don't the only logical step is to say that you "Still need Help". This...

    Scent Wedge Thoughts ?

Personally they are too expensive and don't last long enough. Put on a little cologne and become the car freshener, you'll save a lot of money and time. :)

What's the most surprising thing you've found once you got your Tesla?

There are a few things really. 1. Just how much I would love driving this my Model 3. Normally I'm kind of a hermit. My friends have to prod me to get out of the house and I thank them for that. I deal with chronic anxiety and it's easy to become a shut in if you don't have great support...

The plan is to add WiFi to the Super Chargers over the next year or so. Long lines are taken care of by the 30 minute rules in high volume stations. Note that if you are directed to a SC as part of a route then you can charge for as long as is needed to get to the next way point.

I deal with the likes of Microsoft every day. A company that most would say is well established and not going away any time soon. Yet trying to get any of them to give you the time of day is like trying to part the red sea. Now I'm not saying you are wrong about there needing to be changes...

Clean shiny salvage Tesla, should I buy this? - Noob question

yep I bet the battery is gone. From what I've been told, the battery equates to about 1/3 to 1/2 of the cost of the car depending on the options included. And I'm not sure that you could get one from Tesla, so you'd be looking to get one out of another wrecked car. Doable, but a lot of work...

Clean shiny salvage Tesla, should I buy this? - Noob question

If you get this car, there is a process to have Tesla re-certify it. If memory serves it is around $2500.00. That assumes that the car is in working order. In one of the pictures you can see the internal screen is on so that's a good sign. It does sound a little weird that the car is in...

Nags are more frequent in V 10

Here is proof that at least with the early release of v10 nags have not changed. The driver does a nag test.

Nags are more frequent in V 10

While that is not an un-true statement, I've read several articles about issues in getting super-cruise to engage or stay engaged. Some stating that they are forced to stare almost perfectly straight ahead to keep it working. This brings about it's own set of problems. Eye tracking is...

Yep. Should it be there. Nope, Should Tesla have fixed it. Yep. Does that mean they are out to defraud you. Nope, because they are too busy changing the world. Now I know that sounds all gushy, but given that from day one Elon stated that he wanted to push the wold in to electric...

Nags are more frequent in V 10

You are incorrect, the full version in 2015 did have nags (the first iteration of them) Only the 2014 early adopters did not have them. I think this is probably why it is not as widely publicized however I do recall hearing it mentioned on the local news. The reason the nag was added was...

I honestly don't have time to look this up for you, but Tesla began working on version 1 of Auto Pilot in 2014 in cooperation with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and other regulators. In 2015 it was released to model S owners as a beta. The nag requirement was as a result...

Yep, just apply about 1 to 1.5 lbs of force to the wheel and your good. Took me a while to find a comfortable way to do that, but now its in muscle memory and I don't even think about it. I'm slacking if I get one or two nags a week now where they used to be all the time. Also keep in mind...

New removable front plate holder (Snapplate). Anybody try it yet?

My experience (making flower pots and such) has been that it gets brittle over time. The color does fade as well. Since then I've been using UV protecting paint on them which would be an option for this device as well. Seems to solve the issue as long as you keep it in good shape.

Nags are more frequent in V 10

Took me a month or so, but I never get nags any more. Turns out that they don't teach Tesla nag reduction at UCLA. And I'm 49. Seriously though, there is a sweet spot. I find that it is easier to keep nags away with a slight pull to the left on the steering wheel than it is pulling slightly...

Tesla V10 software update rollout: post here if you are still waiting

The answer to your question is: No one really knows. He did release an early release version to some, but it's not feature complete as far as we know. And software does not care about dates or deadlines. No matter what the software is, or who is setting the timeline, software is done when it...

You do not have Version 10. No one does. At best you have a pre-release version that contains a few of the version 10 features. Not saying that your struggle isn't real. Just don't claim you have something that you do not have. Instead, if you are beta testing this early release version...

There are 2 Early Access levels levels that are public facing, but a few more that are not. Much like the ring system that Microsoft uses. First release is to engineers. Then a group of internal testers. Then NDA's. Then we start moving to more public early access folks. Builds are...

Elon is not writing the code, he hired people to do it. If I had a dollar for every time a software developer I hired missed a delivery date, I'd be able to be on the board at Tesla. He's since been better about not trusting dev timelines as they are never correct. But feature sets for a...

New removable front plate holder (Snapplate). Anybody try it yet?

I know that PETG can handle higher temps but I have serious concerns about how it will hold up to UV. PLA and PETG tend to degrade fairly quickly when exposed to sunlight for any length of time. The plate will likely shield the plastic quite a bit, but UV will find a way.

You can call them and get the quote directly from them before you purchase anything. When you call, select that you already have insurance and then you can get to a human. They have a few phone system/ website wrinkles to work out, but once you get to an agent, they are very helpful.
