Does anyone know how to enable Elon mode?

He's saying if you used a game controller and entered that code in, that would be awesome if it recognized that combination and responded in some way. That's the old cheat code to continue on....Contra I think?

Large amount of white foam/insulation blocking driver air vent, what is this?

I found out the best way ever that there were mice in my car when I turned on the heater and heard the equivalent of dropping a mouse into a blender.

Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control (BETA) for those that have HW3 and FSD

For the most part, and for intial BETA, it works pretty good. It definitely operates like it's in BETA though. My only gripe so far is a particular scenario after it stops at a light. While stopped, if I inch forward a bit and let go of the accelerator, sometimes it'll SLAM the brakes on me and...

Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control (BETA) for those that have HW3 and FSD

It's probably just because the feature is new and they're doing a massive roll-out, that if something were to go wrong, the slower the speed that it happens the better. Especially when every accident a Tesla car is in seems to make front page news.

Model 3's awesome Neutral coasting / Is it more cost effective than regenerative braking?

So I have an admittedly old, but still current, bad habit of tossing my cars into Neutral during long straights or downhills to coast and save a few mph. I do it on the Model 3 too, especially since the regenerative braking can be quite aggressive. So, two things I want to mention: 1) When...

Bad experience: first time at car wash with my 3, forgot to put it in Neutral

I had a really bad experience. Put car in Neutral and started going through car wash. Took off my seat belt to grab cleaner and towels from the back seat to clean afterwards. Know what happens when the car is rolling, there's no seatbelt connected, and the seat doesn't detect your weight? It...

Voice commands do not work in 40.50.5

I'm sure they'll wrinkle out the voice issues pretty quickly. A rollout to a large audience will usually introduce issues that they couldn't produce without said large audience. It's just a matter of fixing them in a timely manner after unleashing the update into the wild. And Tesla seems to be...

Voice commands do not work in 40.50.5

First I've heard that it's recommended to reboot after updates. Thanks!

    SMS Text Notification

That doesn't have anything to do with what the OP was asking. He said he wants to be notified via the car about txts that are received. In either case, even if he also wants to be able to send, using voice integration to compose a text is vastly safer than typing on a keyboard. By far. Tesla is...

Dear Elon, Why cant we have basic phone texting functions.....

Lol what? Where in the world did you get that idea?

Dear Elon, Why cant we have basic phone texting functions.....

Thank you! I've ran across a few responses that defend the lack of integration and they're all baseless and rather silly. I've everything from 'Don't you want them to focus on the important stuff?' to 'Other car manufacturers have text integration to distract you so that you crash and buy...

Going for it - new Solar Roof install scheduled

Awesome, and looks great! I'll have to hold off until they work out the final cost for V3 as the current iteration is a bit above my price point. I don't believe they'll be offering in my area for a bit anyway. But yours looks amazing and very promising. Thanks for the updates and for sharing.

No text messages through the UI?

Nope. Why in the world would I do that? I don't own those cars. The "100 times more..." you're referring to are all older years. Am I also unnerved about all the other cars without it with many of the owners fumbling around on their phone while driving? Heck yeah I am, aren't you? Anybody should...

No text messages through the UI?

I agree 100%. But as I said, that is what many people do as the alternative. Try as we all might to educate everyone regarding the risks and dangers, a good percentage will persist in using their phones without an alternative. Voice-activated integration provides such an alternative. It's a bit...

No text messages through the UI?

So funny to read the defenses for the lack of a feature that reduces your risk compared to fumbling around on your phone. Which is what many people do as the alternative. How do you think people are getting the messages in tiny print on the car's touchscreen that pop up for various reasons? Or...

Seriously, what's the deal with text message integration?

Uhhh, haha yeah that kinda sorta sounds a lot like deflection in defense to a lacking feature. That very same car uses a screen to host the majority of functions of the car with many of those functions requiring you to focus your eyeballs on it while you click-find-click within a menu. My gf...

    Text message model 3

I agree with AlbinoRhino. Silly me, I just assumed it would be a part of the entertainment system considering that it's pretty mainstream with all other manufacturers by now. Any passenger that realizes there's no integration has always reacted with a negative sort of bewilderment, like, "How...

Seems like FSD is a complete crock

I've had mixed results with it so far. For me, I feel like it's teetering on the cusp of having a large update that will gain a lot more trust with its users. I've had enough hiccups to where I have to immediately regain control followed by, "Whoah, what the hell?" Tesla's name has an odd buzz...

Need recommendations after dog scratched my door's interior

Oh wow, that's pretty bad. I also have a couple marks similar to yours. Thing is, I've had dogs in all my 10 different cars. The Model 3 is the 1st, and only, car to receive damage like this. And in record time, no less. In addition, if you peruse other forums then you'll have other incidences...

    Neural Networks

You have a marvelous way of words, sir. To have gathered up all this data and its complexity and regurgitate it in the best layman's terms possible that both captures and maintains my attention to the end, despite comprehending far less than I'd like, requires both skill and kindness, both of...

Vinyl cutout files for Model 3

Of all the wrap jobs I've seen, I think I like the 3M 1080 Matte Black you used the most. Matches really well with the style of the seats. Looks awesome, thanks for sharing!
