Yep, same ones I ordered. Most cars can be programed by doing a few tricks with ACC on and off, touching your nose and rubbing your head, but Tesla made it so you must use a service center to program them to the car.

Nariko, Do it right the first time and it will make your driving experience much more enjoyable and safer. Have the lower seat rails moved forward to compensate the distance, they can always be moved back.

I purchased a used Roadster with the same problem. I have a 2.0, the Ranger had to remove the left side of the dash and retrieve a code off the back of a "box". Not complicated, but with the limited space I couldn't get eye's on which box. So it is possible.

I had a "new to me" battery installed early this year. Tesla doesn't install new batteries, only refurbished. Tough $40k cookie to swallow when you know it's not new. Haven't had any issues with the battery, my only complaint was the disappointing service I received at the Rockville, MD service...

Kinda getting off the subject of this thread...I purchased my roadster with a "bricked" ESS knowing I would have to replace it. As long as you plug it in, it should be worry free.

When you have an ESS replaced, for what ever reason, it will be a remanufactured one. I just had mine replaced and was shocked when I read the description of my ESS on my invoice and believe me, you don't get a discount for a remanufactured ESS. $38,500 no matter what you call it. Tesla called...

sorry, no blog. The next step is to replace the battery and dive into any electical problems that may pop up. We're hoping for the best but, can only check so many components without the ESS.

Thanks for the recommendation GSP, Kit Rodden from Battery M.D. contacted me and said they do work on electric vehicals but Tesla will not cooporate with them so they have not repaired an ESS. Kevin

If you have one, it would be located in front of the passenger side front tire behind a splash panel. It's a standard size motorcycle battery.

My "Ranger" visit last week was conducted by a true professional who after a few minutes of diagnostics looked at me and said with empathy "Your Battery is a brick"! My eye began to quiver and my heart started to race...No, really this was no surprise as the car was in storage before I purchased...

GE makes a universal home charging station 240V at 30A. You can order it through Home Depot, average price is $900. Cheaper than the Tesla model, but only 30A.
