I ended up changing my wheel size from 19” to 21” even though they’re 19” and now my speedometer seems to be accurate!

I don’t mind the speedometer being off, the issue is that autopilot is currently limited to 80mph on highways (down from 90mph), so my autopilot speed is limited to 74mph on the highway. I’d rather it be inaccurate in the opposite direction since it’s unusable on the highway now haha.

Gotcha, so basically there’s nothing I can do unless I replace all 4 of the new tires? 😞

After switching to taller winter 19” tires, the speedometer is wrong by about 4-6mph. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I had the exact same concern and brought it up to them. They put the car in Jack mode and assured me it would be okay. They said every 3rd car they work on is a Tesla and they’ve never had issues before. Hopefully someone else more knowledgeable and chime in and assure me this’ll be okay 🤣

Sounds good! So it sounds like it'd be safe to mount these tires and still push it to the limit in terms of 0 - 60, but if theres a huge dip they could burst?

That’s what I calculated as well, is there perhaps something we’re missing? The weight load supported by these tires seems adequate to me… The car weighs 4800lbs and the tires will handle 7056lbs. Should be fine right?

I will be doing regular 0-60 pushes during the winter on safe roads at traffic lights, where it is safe Is it truly a big safety risk?

Discount Tire are refusing to mount winter tires on my Model S Plaid purchased from tire track as they deemed it a safety risk. They told me the load index of the car is higher than the tires are rated for. I drive back to IL tomorrow through the mountains so I really needed winter tires on it...

About 30% of the time when I start driving the car it’ll say “park assist unavailable” and “FSD features may be restored on next drive”. Is this happening to anyone else? Is this an issue with the car itself or do we just need to wait for a firmware update?

Does pressing the autopilot button count as a forced disengagement? I’d assume not

@jebinc this is the report button I was talking about. Pressing it does nothing:

LOL, yeah some of the yoke movements are pretty violent and it can be difficult to intervene since we can't keep our hands on the yoke all the time like a traditional steering wheel (technically we could be it'd be very unpleasant!). We can't use the autopilot button to stop autopilot either...

Initial thoughts as a yoker: as expected I am very unimpressed. Did a few turns at stop lights from the inside turn lane and the car would always be half way into the second person's lane. General driving wasn't that great - as others have mentioned the car takes turns REALLY close to the curb...
