Having spoken to EST, they have confirmed that as long has you have had the loan from them approved by letter, then using temporary funds to secure a car will not be an issue; just email them the receipt for payment received from Tesla.

After reading your comment, I did the same thing and managed to get a result, possibly... The lady I got (Kim) was very helpful and managed to locate a car for me in Birmingham. The caveat is that I need to pick it up, and pay for, on Monday the 30th... So, as long as EST (Scotland) will allow...
