Yeah I wouldn’t let those issues put you off. They are minor annoyances that you learn to live with / work around. The car is still extremely fun to drive & I have no regrets. Despite the sloshing water sound I get everytime I open the boot!

I met a Tesla Edinburgh employee at the Eurocentral Dakota supercharger pre-lockdown and he said then that the new Edinburgh installation would be one of the last V2’s in the UK.

I have exactly that configuration and it consistently gets commented on when people get inside. The black and white interior contrasts perfectly with the black exterior. It’s a very smart design choice.

Just as an added comparison, I’m in Edinburgh and was able to cover my wife & I with 0 N/C (been using Enterprise Car Club last 3yrs) on our SR+ for £560 via Churchill.

The group element doesn’t take too long so as long as you were happy enough to skip the check over stage, you could just drive away once they roll the shutters up to your car. Collected from Edinburgh today. Zero (feared) black paint issues, inside of all doors and hinges well covered. Fantastic car, truly blown away this is the first car I’ve ever owned.

I have a VIN of 4397xx and am taking delivery on Saturday.

Having had a delivery appointment in my Tesla account for a week now, I still find myself checking the page multiple times a day out of habit. Just in case it disappears maybe? Who knows. Saturday seems so very far away right now...

I wouldn’t worry that it means anything negative about your order guys. I just got a delivery appointment confirmed and my documentation is still nowhere to be seen almost 10 days later.

Just to help maintain tracking, after the September 5th delivery date on my final invoice, I’m now booked in for 2pm collection at Edinburgh on Sat 14th September.

So I logged into my account over the weekend to find all my documents including Final Invoice had disappeared. Popped into Edinburgh showroom yesterday and they were none the wiser as to why. They were able to tell me I had a delivery date of Thursday 12th so I guess not all bad?!

I’m waiting on white interior and I have a September delivery date. Stick with it I say!

For anyone interested, I just emailed Edinburgh service centre & they are happy to reserve a set of floor mats for my SR+ delivery on Sept 5th. £85. No mention of any stock issues.

If you don’t need a car everyday of the week, look into Enterprise Car Club. That’s what i’ve been using for past 2 years in Edinburgh prior to the upcoming Model 3. Again, it really depends on the level of usage but worth looking into as an option.

Looking at the (very helpful & informative) graphs, i’m starting to possibly regret the white interior my wife was pushing for. Looks like those are few & far between so far...

Agree with the sentiment but also the follow up comments. I do think it’s a lesson learned for everyone going forward possibly considering a Model Y reservation.

None whatsoever. They aren’t exactly the most helpful in that regard but I did find if you called up you could usually get speaking to someone for an update.

Mine disappeared too. Around the time I received that automated SMS a few days ago. I had the PDF downloaded for my loan application so i’ll be cross referencing whenever a new one appears again!
