I've parsed this thread, and maybe I'm missing something, but did Tesla ever make this adapter? I have Model S owners at my house quite often, needing a charge. I don't see the point of retrofitting my charger for them, forcing me to use an adapter. How do I get my hands on an adapter...

Right now, I'm currently using E9. I'm really surprised they won't let me move my E9 to a new home... that there are no provisions for that.

That is correct, the firmware does work on 2008s with the 1.5 powertrain. I have a Signature 100 (a fairly early one) as well, so if it was going to be weird on anyone's car, it would be mine... Though I've tested it, and it works fine.

I've also learned that this firmware update has an interesting feature: If you press on the green battery indicator on the main screen while driving, you can alternate between "Max Range," "Performance" and standard mode (with no label). I've confirmed this change takes effect immediately...

#26 #26 is running beautifully, without anything bad to report, here in the Bay Area. It's been about fifteen months now and it still feels the same. I love this car.

I figured... There were cables coming out of the dash in the passenger area floor, and a bit of a rattle. Still, both myself and a friend drove the VP-13 and were blown away by the experience, regardless. The fact that the production Sig100 w/1.5 improved upon it was just bonus...icing.
