So i emailed tesla about the Ranger service (not that i didn't believe what was posted, just wanted to confirm period moving to MI but the service agreement) and got this response Is there a local contact i can reach out to confirm this with? I've had conflicting info from Tesla before.

My family is considering a move to Grand Rapids to be closer to family, and I know due to the dealership issues in Michigan Tesla doesn't have any service centers. I was curious what other owners are currently doing to get the car serviced etc. Drive your car to out of state service centers...

I have to say, not having shuffle is incredibly silly. I work in software development - it's not that complicated, but as you say it's about prioritization.

And where might you get that? The manufacturer website is less than useful, and search engines find nothing.

I've also seen some decrease in range on my 40, from 144 when I first got it down to about 131 or so now. Last time I was at Bellevue SC they had engineering take a look and they said it was operating okay now but to keep an eye on it.

Yeah, very happy with my 40, like others it's my daily driver. No concerns for range for me, I have a roundtrip of about 40 miles a day. I've talked about this on other 40 threads, but the price for upgrading is to steep given what I'd get back for it.

I don't think supercharging was ever available on the 40, at the very least it's not available on the "40"'s that are out in the wild now (have to upgrade to 60 before you can turn on the supercharging hardware).

I've had a few people bring it up, but just making sure it wasn't mine that burnt up since I live about 5 miles down the road from where it happened.

They've got superchargers up here now, but I haven't upgraded, no.

Just a follow up to my issues - I ended up calling the local service center in Bellevue, and Maddy was able to get one of the engineers at Tesla to resolve it remotely. Car is back to normal

Had no problem programming Homelink to work with the gate at our place - didn't even request to have any buttons on the control box pressed.

And now they're gone - they were showing out of stock, but apparently they removed them completely from the website.

Yeah, Maddy is awesome, as is the Bellevue Service Center. Maddy went out of her way to call me personally on the day they announced the recall to inform me my car was impacted, and to setup an appointment to get it fixed.

Has anybody else noticed weirdness when venting the pano roof using this app? Sometimes the roof will pop open, and then immediately reclose (or the reverse if already open). I've never experienced the issue actually in the car - it only seems to occur with the app. I need to test direct calls...

It took me like, 3 minutes to arrange it. The service center actually proactively called me as well (apparently they didn't notice I had already made an appointment 2 hours earlier). Car went in Friday, but the necessary changes had already been done at the factory, so I got the car back within...

Yeah this is the behavior I'm seeing - all green if zoomed out far enough. I resolved this by zooming out to the maximum that still includes traffic detail, then going to full screen on the nav. It's just big enough it shows my entire route. Not ideal. Given other descriptions I have a feeling...

Possible I guess, but in my testing it's not as simple as "once off stays off" - my temp readings seem to come and go throughout the day, with no interaction from me other than querying the state of the car.

Heh, I forgot to ask when picking my 40 up. No frame, no paper plate on mine.

Don't see myself upgrading - since the 40 has no battery degradation issues with getting charged to the limit, the 60 only has about 40 more miles of range than a 40. That's not really worth $11k. About the only reason I would upgrade is for supercharger access, but none of those up here (yet)...

Oh definitely - lots of factors play into it. I'm sure that fact that I was in a garage with temp in the 60's, with the outlet I was using on the opposite wall from the main panel helped a great deal. Still, you can get more than 2mph with a normal outlet :)

2mph? When I've had to use a normal outlet my S says 3.7mph when charging. It's terrible, but not as terrible as you're suggesting.

Got delivery on Saturday, and had a nice long weekend with it. It's kind of ridiculous how great a car this is.

There's a KOA campground up the road about 25 miles in Buena Vista, but plugshare isn't showing anything closer.

It's not listed as Delivery Charge anymore, it's listed as "Destination and Regulatory Doc Fee" on my MVPA. And yes you pay it whether you pick it up in Fremont or...well they don't really do deliveries anymore unless you live far away from a service center.

Yeah once you sign the final paperwork they send you a mail with a link to a page on their site where you can wire in whatever cash you're going to use for the sale. Anything left is expected in a check at delivery.
