    Tesla Annual Shareholder Meeting

I'm in the UK, all low-tax investment wrappers hold shares via CREST. I can’t vote. I think most UK retail would support the board but we can't generally. Not sure if "my" shares' votes are voted by some institution.

Looks like it will be turned into a book.

It was a long twitter post. I can understand people choosing not to read it. Fascinating and well researched.

Elon was correct. The media were wrong but never tried to write the truth.

Picking up a used m3 LR on Monday tips

Perhaps not relevant to OP or many others, but for newbies, there will be threads talking about apps/websites that are useful for EVs including charging. Although recent updates aren't to my liking, A Better Route Planner (ABRP) is useful for when Tesla supercharging isn't available. Go...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

A friend was thinking of buying a hybrid. I mentioned that the battery type is different from pure Battery EVs, as a disclaimer to the following:- Smaller battery > more cycles > less battery life Buying a secondhand hybrid would be risky without some understanding of hybrid (model)...

    M3H - Which software version?

For me, it depends which way I park the car, away from house seems to be just outside wifi range. For anyone whose parking prevents wifi (underground carpark) - you might just need to find another usable wifi network (fast-food, work, relatives?). I don't know if Superchargers have wifi - I've...

    Boring Company Hyperloop

Elon pioneered for others to follow as he had enough higher priorities. No successes from others as far as I'm aware. Still an open goal for the right set of people to perfect.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Apologies if others have made my point, but I'm still wading through many pages. USA ICE cars "sales" are best described as "Channel Stuffing" (via dealers - whose stock has ballooned to unsustainable levels). Even USA Toyotas & Hondas are having buildups in many models. Tesla's "inventory"...

    Travelling to N.I with Dog

Can you get an EU vet to do some paperwork? Dim recollection of seeing a video on this. Maybe Andrew Till, maybe someone else. Need a UK one first.

    Do you park in London?…Alert!!!!

Not sure I understand your post. It was around a quid (depends on if you wanted to pay for text reminder) for "10 minutes" which allowed for 4 hours of parking.

For several years, the Starship (yes, that's the company name) delivery robots near me have been asking people to press the buttons at pedestrian crossings or asking for a push if they get stuck.

    Thinking of selling

Also - check out reddit UK Finance / Fire & work out to minimise charges - even employer/workplace contributions can be swept into a low cost SIPP several times a year (most/many schemes).

    Thinking of selling

Semi-retired for a while now. Still do projects, consultancy - but not much. Saved some money into ISA/TESSA (not much), had tiny pensions (eaten by commissions/charges). Let others control/influence investments, mostly UK dividend stocks where I didn't know much about the company itself. I've...

    Thinking of selling

Just had a bunch of cars stolen around here. Not sure of models as haven't talked first hand with neighbours yet. I'm assuming Range Rovers & Porsche Macans, but could be anything without Pin To Drive. Both of these are near uninsurable & worthless now.

Tesla reduces output of Y and 3 in Shanghai

Science says no.... he's comparing new ICE to new BEV, but plenty of used BEV nowadays. Even with a new BEV, won't take too long to improve on a CO2 basis, instant on air pollution basis - full switching would save thousands (maybe tens of thousands, maybe more) of UK lives, millions across the...

Tesla reduces output of Y and 3 in Shanghai

Fleet includes private buyers via some kinds of finance. Private buyers includes cash and maybe some other finance, but not all. This is why fleet is such a high percentage and private is only a subset of private buyers

Tesla reduces output of Y and 3 in Shanghai

Cheapest way. Plenty of Tony Seba/Adam Dorr videos or people commenting on it. Renewable cheaper to BUILD and run than fossils are to run, even if overprovisioning. Excess domestic electricity can be sold to neighbouring countries at a profit. Think about when windy weather moves west to...

Tesla reduces output of Y and 3 in Shanghai

Why "private buyers"? Minority of sales for years now. Many "private buyers" lease cars - hence won't be classed as "private" - business or fleet sales. I've heard this "private" narrative a lot recently. Seen it debunked multiple times - but it refuses to die. The urea limit was a marketing...

Tesla reduces output of Y and 3 in Shanghai

Solar/Wind/Storage cheaper and most critically faster to bring online than nuclear, phase by phase, bit by bit. The huge delays for political/oil corruption reasons in the UK are a scandal. Energy independence held up for years exposing us to petro-dictators, shipping problems and other bottlenecks.

Tesla reduces output of Y and 3 in Shanghai

In the USA, apartment dwellers have EVs as a larger % than those living in houses (Source: - good watch for personas like "EV haters"). UK - Tesla charges as low as 28pence/kWh depending on how busy. That's cheaper than many general electric tariffs. USA - high takeup rates in California...

Tesla reduces output of Y and 3 in Shanghai

EVS better, fewer moving parts, scope for longer-lasting cars than overstressed small ICE engines (ecoboost, turbo). This is the most important aspect in recent comments - "A small decrease in growth rate of EVs". EV growth is happening, but not always and in all places by 70-100+% a year. New...

    Tesla Unionization

It's obvious that tesla will grow massively in terms of Superchargers in Sweden. Any company that loses today's Tesla business is forfeiting a huge potential. Employees may realise this, Tesla may be a significant reason for their employment today. This could be the daftest idea so far in...

    Battery drained to zero

Can you go back to basics and check premises. Why 3 months in a carpark? What would happen to the 12 volt of an ICE car? Why would the battery go down? Top up 12 volt. Very minor, mostly the wake up/keep awake energy. Sentry mode - switch off preferably or wait until car switches off when...

    Russia/Ukraine conflict

Big explosion, so presumably large amounts of ammunition amongst the cargo. I don't think the details of logistics will make it up the ladder to Putin as it's a career/life-limiting move. Logistics might collapse quickly, together with Russian Federation's dependence on dumb artillery for...

    Tesla Idle on long holiday

Is it a proper EVSE ("charger") or the 3 pin plug ("granny charger"). EVSE fine, granny charger - I probably wouldn't leave it plugged in. Car won't need power anyway if sentry mode is on, car doors closed.

Is there or has there been evidence for "demand limited" except in time or location pockets that get sorted out (or sort themselves out) within a short period. It's not like the legacy OEM's USA dealerships with 300+ days of supply. If you're looking at sales/demand for a novel product being...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

One of Tesla's strengths may be a small tight team of mega effective staff. They can only do so much at one time, but their capital efficiency is in a class of its own. Fewer, better, cheaper rather than a small expensive army of great, but not greatest engineers

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

    Russia/Ukraine conflict

Russian Federation is different from Russia. Dozens or hundreds of downtrodden nationalities. Russians are primarily located in a few areas/cities. A lot of the mineral rich areas are not primarily Russian. Russian Federation splitting is just a natural continuation of USSR splitting.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

If in doubt, the answer is deliveries, not "sales". This is my criticism of some commentators. Tesla can increase production, but especially in Germany it means it's a big commitment and this is a lower demand seasonally for most of Europe (remarkable then that prices are rising). So a step...
