I reserved the car today. I will try and ask the service centre if they can provide some moere info. This being my second Tesla, they may be a bit more leneant... And if not, then indeed trial and error will teach me. Thanks for replying.

I read somewhere else in this forum that the new battery will only provide 6.9Ah (as opposed to 33 before), would I be able to run a 90Wx15V consumer (after DC-Dc protection) from that battery?

Corona stopped me from further action. But so far i am still being very unhappy about the change. I now wonder if they disconnected the extra amp (360W) underneath the steering wheel and therefor made the system work on 200W instead of the former 560W. I will ask them formally to answer this...

I had seen the thread before, but the link in it is broken. Also the picture was not clear as to which connector was the correct one. So I did some measuring myself... The top left connector is what you want, grey cable is plus, black is negative so I hooked up a cable to allow some extra lights...

I 've been looking at a solution, but found nothing better than changing the ODB2 fuse to 10 Amps (my fridge - custom built- is 9 Amps). Other than that, one could go through the firewall and draw current straight from the 12V battery.

I experienced the same. It is condensation that builds up in certain weather/temperature conditions. The camera (in my 2017 model) has a small heating element ( not very powerfull) built in which should help clear the fog. Warming up the car to higher temperature might also help. Other then...

I decided on another approach. I bought a cheap set of stick-on LED lamps that can be plugged into the cigarette lighter. But instead of doing that I powered them from an unused fuse an ran the leads under the dash.

Simple: as of 2017 new fuse boxes, different lay-out and no more relais to short with a wire...

The folding could actually work as a heat dissipator. But since these are the footwell lights, they only work for entering the car. By the time they would get hot, they are switched back off again. For those interested, i find the blue led awesome. Will post pictures later.

You probably solved it by now. But just in general: soldering needs to be done neatly. And any electrician connection needs to make good contact. To fix the problem you need a multimeter to measure if you get 12 volts at the connecting wire. If not maybe the fuse is gone. If you do get 12v, then...
