third party model Y wheel covers

These are the same ones as mine and I'm happy with them. Have posted a pic on the forum.

    Got the Ali wheel covers

Ah, I didn’t realise that. Makes me feel slightly better! Am I allowed to post a link to the item?

    Got the Ali wheel covers

    That would be my preference
  4. GrumpyManUK

    Got the Ali wheel covers

Yes, and stuck them on around the very edge of the inner cover.

    Got the Ali wheel covers

Overall I am pretty happy with them. My main issue is the turbine fins all face the same direction so I feel that the covers on the other side are in the wrong direction, if that makes sense? Photo of the proper side. Around £99 plus a chunk on shipping.

Rumour of free premium for leases cars ending

I just had the email notification from Tesla about the premium connectivity charge. I lease and went into the Tesla app and can see in the upgrade>manage section that my premium package expires Sept 2022. Which is 1 year of lease time. Darn it.

Have you had a Model 3 LR delivered in the last 4-6 weeks/Q3?

K here too. Did a 100% charge journey yesterday and starting range was 333 miles.

I have a confession to make

Everytime I stop outside a shop and put the car in park - if I see someone walking by.. my car will fart. Got a few laughs so far and I love it.

    Model 3 Leasing UK

So, anyone have end of lease contract experience? I have returned a two year old M3, (which I looked after with the best care I could), and have been informed of the following: Item Description Item Cost o/s/front wheel scuffed >50mm £64 rear bumper multiple scuffs £93 tailgate...

UK and Ireland Marketplace - For Sale / Wanted / Free

Selling my used Jeda Wireless Phone Charger Pad for Model 3 (June 2019) as the car has gone. All boxed with cables. Originally cost around £90. Can sell for £30 plus whatever the postage works out to be.

    Model 3 Leasing UK

Apologies if this isn't the right place to ask but - can anyone provide any insight on costs when returning their leased Tesla for wheel scuffs? My lease follows the 'BVRLA Fair Wear & Tear' standard. I've been quoted by a third party to repair and re-spray all four wheels £75 each and I...

    Model 3 Leasing UK

Well, my existing business lease deal up for renewal in a couple of months - I cannot believe the two years has gone by so quickly! Currently have a M3 'Stealth Performance', 10k miles per year, £488 per month. (2 Years). Another performance model was going to be an extra £200 per month which...

    Potential M3 LR buyer questions

I went from a VW Caddy van to M3P. The internal sound difference, surprisingly, is remarkable. 😂

Rejecting my 2020 Tesla M3P after 4 months of ownership. Sad day

Sorry to hear you took it back. Sounds very unlucky to have that many issues. My 2019 M3P has (touch wood) been fine - apart from a few minor issues in the initial couple of months of receiving it. - Paint mark, passanger side. Fixed. - Rear light housings filling with condensation. Replaced...

    Company Lease Insurance Unavailable?

You can inform your neighbour that I have a company leased Model 3 Performance and have a decent rate (<£500 fully comp) from LV=. (About to enter renewal for year 2 too)

Motorways to trial 60mph limits to cut pollution

Motorways to trial 60mph limits to cut pollution (Apologies if this has already been posted!) So would EV's be exempt? "The speed limit will be cut on parts of four motorways before October in a trial to reduce pollution, Highways England has said. It will be reduced from 70mph to 60mph in...

    UK Tesla owner age demographic

I used to own a superbike so having the acceleration back is a welcome return. I tend to stick with the flow of traffic unless I can see there is no queue ahead and it is safe to overtake. Oh, and accelerating from a standstill is never tiresome for me. :-)

Attempted burglary -- targeted because of Model 3?

What a nightmare! I personally use the Google Nest door camera. Mine is hard-wired in to a nearby internal power plug and I pay for the cloud storage which allows viewing for up to 11 days. The video quality is very good, as is the night vision. City Plumbing of all people are selling them...

    Condensation in rear lights

I had my problem tail lights replaced by the SC last week. Seems to be okay now.
  21. GrumpyManUK

Moisture condensation in taillights, fog lights, etc

This problem is indeed common, according the the (UK) Tesla service guy I talked too. I also had the same issue on my new Model 3 P-. They changed my tail lights at no cost. So it's a shame if you're having to pay.

Profitable Q3. No need to thank me ;)

I have zero experience in share dealing but took the jump with some Tesla shares a couple of months ago. I took the advice of only investing in what I am prepared to lose and I'm in it for the long run.

Dodged the U-Turn maniac but missed the 'Give Way' nutter

Other driver managed to hit my side last week after failing to abide to their clearly marked Give Way juntion. I predicted it was potentially going to happen and swerve to minimise damage to a small dent and a few paint scratches. Still sucks though. Just waiting on body shop/insurance to get...

Had a close call today! (Footage included)

Nah, I was in full manual mode at that time. My prior biker instincts second-guessed what he was about to do - I knew it was clear to pass/no oncoming traffic so I did not have to brake suddenly. Thankfully.

Had a close call today! (Footage included)

I think he was just shocked. I sounded my horn and continued my way. Life’s not worth getting too angry about it.

Had a close call today! (Footage included)

Foturnately, I managed to dodge this idiot performing a u-turn on a junction today! FYI, I was travelling below the national speed limit.

    Walk-away Lock Confirmation Sound

Same happened to me in that it didn't save the change when turned off. So the next time I turned it off I also adjusted the steering wheel a click up and down - which then allowed a profile save. This then stored the alarm sound change.

    Condensation in rear lights

Same here and have also added it to my service list.

    Wish me luck...

Agreed on the auto wipers. At least with my vehicle, they need to kick in much more quickly or have a sensitivity adjustment in the settings menu.

Good luck and have an exciting day! Don't be pressured in to having to leave when checking the vehicle. If necessary, drive around the corner and park out front - and check the vehicle some more and report it in person if necessary. Don't forget that you can spend even more money in the service...

    Leaking boot

Before as I failed to see the water run down after I had opened it - I'm aware of the issue of water getting in as you open the boot. It's worth checking again though just to to be sure. Also, the panel gap of the left of the boot is wider than that of the right side panel gap.

    Leaking boot

The weather has been particularly miserable today and I’m pleased I purchased the all-weather mat for the boot. I opened it later this morning to find that rain water had leaked through the seal - top centre! (FYI I did not see any of the water leak through once I actually opened the boot.)...

Questions For Uk Model 3 Owners (delivery Complete)

While other new owners raced off in excitement I went over the car (black) very carefully. I pointed out some small scratches on the rear corner and a tiny fingernail size dent on the passenger door where the moulded crease is. Booked in Milton Keynes this week to get it sorted. I expect I’ll...
