Car now showing Box Hill as 9 stalls instead of 12. Anyone know why?

Supercharger - Melbourne (Box Hill), Vic

I was there yesterday. It is a 12 stall site, including one pull through, and I asked the Tesla tech about when it would go live, he says he was pretty sure it would be by the end of the week. FWIW, I would have thought 12 stalls at Cann River and 3 at Box Hill would have made more sense, but...

There are public toilets in there as well, probably same hours as GyG. Also a short walk to bunnings, plus a bunch of other food options 200m down Middleborough Road.

    Gen 2 UMC Charger tails?

Also the 16A one from EVSEAdaptors uses the same cable as the 32A one and is too big a diameter to handle any Australian 15A plug that I could find.

Wall connector color matched faceplate now available in Australia

Do they fit on Gen2 HPWC or only Gen3?

    Charging Stats

That isnt quite correct. I have a 10kw solar system and inverter but a 5kw export limit, so I can set it using an app I have written to only charge using the power that would be curtailed and therefore dropped and the charging is then actually free.

    Gen 2 UMC Charger tails?

Does anyone know if Tesla are selling updated the 10A and 15A tails to use with the Gen2 UMC that will actually give the full 10A and 15A charging speed?

    Gen 2 UMC Charger tails?

It isnt listed on their website. Price now is USD $59 with free shipping. Choice of 12A, 16A, 24A or 32A Connector for Tesla Model S/X/3 Gen 2 (without plug) – EVSE Adapters

    Gen 2 UMC Charger tails?

The EVCharger tails will do what you want. Just buy the 32A one and put a 32A plug on it and you have the tail, or get the 16A one and put a 15A plug on it for the other tail.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

I had a situation a couple of years ago where my home DHCP started playing up. Turned out my Ethernet over power adaptor had connected itself to my neighbor (separate houses standard with underground power) and I was getting an ip address from his router instead of mine, so I could see his...

Yes I got an electrician friend to attach the plug. He put shrink wrap over the little circuit board connected to the two sensor wires that was just floating around.

    Model 3 Charging in Australia

Got to test my 32A 3 phase adaptor for the UMC (charges at 32A 1 phase only) at a customer today, worked beautifully. Cost was just over $100, see post further up the thread for details.

    Model 3 Charging in Australia

I was after the cheapest option for connecting to a 3phase 32A outlet with the UMC (single phase obviously). EVSE Adaptors will sell a UMC tail with a bare end and a chip, for USD $62 with free shipping, you just need to connect it to a 3 phase plug. This is what they said to me. "Thank you...

    Model 3 Charging in Australia

Not sure if this helps, but I am doing exactly this part using Teslafi. I have charging set to start at Midnight using the native Tesla scheduling, then I have a schedule set in Teslafi to turn off charging at 4am (my super off peak rates are from midnight to 4am). This is working perfectly...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Teslafi reports that 2019.40.2.2 came out yesterday, and 2019.40.2.3 has appeared tonight. So far both seem X and S only, with 2019.40.2.2 being limited to Europe while 2019.40.2.3 is only USA, Canada and Belgium so far although only a small sample

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Yes that is true, but it is a poor choice when (a) Windows cant format it above 32GB and (b) the car cant do the formatting itself, leaving the vast majority of Tesla owners needing to find a 3rd party utility to do the formatting. At a short term minimum, I think Tesla could release their own...
  28. D

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

It doesnt really matter what format they use, the issue to me is that the car should be able to partition and format the drive itself. On the other hand, if they expect people to format it themselves on a computer, it was really stupid to use a format that Windows cant handle.

MASTER THREAD: 2019.36.2.3 and .4 [nothing new in release notes In comparison to prior version]

I have noticed since updating to 2019.36.2.4 that the mirrors arent folding on walk away lock, nor the headlights flashing. The horn still honks but that is it. And the options to enable them seem to have disappeared,

Scheduled Departure Feature - Can You Change the Off-Peak Charging Hrs?

FWIW, I am on the same Powershop plan as you, I set it to start at midnight via Scheduled Charging in the car, and set it to stop at 4am via Teslafi, works perfectly.

Could you clarify that. Are you saying it pulls the locations of speed limit changes for instance from Google which is embedded in the nav update, but the actual speed limit to use is pulled live from OSM?

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

MY car is currently at the panel beaters and will be there for another 10 days. Every time they wake it up, Sentry mode gets enabled which chews up a lot of battery. Is there way to turn it off permanrently? I have Teslafi, but cant see a way to do it there or in the Tesla app.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Yes that's pretty astoundingly terrible. We have a 2.5kw Daikin US7 in our house that draws around 700W to cool a 40sqm well insulated living room easily. I realise a car has a fair bit of single glazed glass and not well insulated metal but the tests were done when the ambient temp wasnt even high.
