I was actually looking for it last night during caliper prep with no luck. The cover is a pain in the ass to remove unless you have a tool specifically made for it. To keep the job going, I bent a piece of weed trimmer line and fished it through the holes to pull the cover off!

I was able to sell my Model 3 privately and actually got MORE calls because it included the performance boost. Purchased it for $56k, received a tax break, and sold it for $50k cash. Now I’m in a Model Y LR with acceleration boost and have zero regrets!

Has anybody seen dragy data after the acceleration boost? I agree that it is much faster, but would love to see where it ends up.

For what it's worth, I purchased the acceleration boost on our previous AWD Model 3. When we got the Y and opted for Long Range due to not wanting 21-inch summer tires, my wife asked, "When are we getting the acceleration boost?" As soon as I let her know that it was available this morning...

I would say it is noticeable on both ends, but I'm not using a dragy or anything to confirm that. In my opinion, the 30-60 in the Y always felt kind of similar to the 3 as the instant torque is available. Punching it off the line, however, always felt like it was slipping or something in the Y.

I purchased AB this morning immediately after waking up and seeing the news. Totally worth it. The “punch” is very noticeable and it brings back some of the good feelings my M3 AWD w/ AB gave me!

According to plugshare, it looks like there is a new Chademo charger right across the road from where this supercharger is supposed to be. I'll take that concession for now, I guess!

I just realized that your were referring to Morris, MB. There is a Morris, MN to the south of Fargo, but it’s not close. Sorry for the confusion! I was actually wondering what the heck you were doing down there... This is just an unfortunate spat of bad luck. Hopefully we get more options soon!

Why didn’t you just use the chademo in Morris? Or the one in Fergus Falls? Anything would be better than a six hour session through the night. I would have just given up and gotten a room at the Element in Fargo where they have a destination charger.

This is so fantastic. Hopefully they move on to Fargo next. That would fill a major hole in the region.

Only for about 5 months out of the year. During winter, Grand Forks is about as realistic as it’ll get!

I checked out the Fargo, ND supercharger post and it looks like things are finally starting there. Hopefully that means good things for the rest of I94!
