My 5-month review of driving a Model 3 that I have decided is not for me

Liked your review, my experience has been a fair bit different, mainly from a quality POV. Additionally, from a OPEX POV that Gladiator will definitely cost you quite a bit more, but man do they look cool! Enjoy the new ride. And BTW we have orders in for the new Chevy Blazer EV & the Kia...

Car was hit nearly head on - car is severely damaged - anyone estimate time in shop?

Well, considering the fact that the replacement windshield for our model 3 was 2 months to get in I wouldn't be overly optimistic on timelines for the repair required of yours (we are in BC as well). On GlobalTV several weeks ago they had autobody shop owners complaining of months long waits for...

2022 M3 LR - Rear window goes fuzzy/blurry with defroster ON...

Heat from the defroster plus the angle of the glass etc. but it’s the heat that’s the precipitating factor. I’ve had this ’happen’ with other vehicles. You even prove this point by saying ‘when I turn off the defroster the distortion goes away’.

Hertz Rental Experience [review of renting a model 3 from Hertz]

This would be akin to comparing pulling into a gas station, filling up the car and letting it sit there. I completely understand the idle fee issue, it's meant to expedite the turnover of 'filling stations' so more people use them more efficiently.

    FSD + Enhanced Autopilot Question

You have to appreciate the honesty. It's effectively 'vapourware' for the majority of us UNTIL it isn't. Thus the reason we did NOT purchase the full self driving package when we bought. 3 years in I don't mind not having paid the money. By the time it comes out and is effectively useful in my...

Bought 150KM Range Model 3 in Canada - Can I upgrade range?

Obviously, if you purchased under a specific premise (as you note above) there would be a liability on the seller's end to provide what was communicated. I would either expect the seller to take back the car (and you go shop for a new one that fits the bill you believed you'd paid) OR take them...

    SiriusXM radio on Model 3

There's a world of other services available by linking my iPhone or Android handset with the car. I'm not confined by what's provided in my Model 3's software load. YMMV, but I find what is provided far exceeds what any other car vendor gives today (e.g. I am willing to 'deal' with Tesla's...

Keeping a model 3 Long term...? Hold value, Reliability?

Read through this thread on reliability... My M3 doesn't have his level of usage, but it has been driven ALLOT. I am optimistic that this car, our Speedracer M3, will hold it's value as good, if not better, than any other car I have previously owned :)

My 2018 LR RWD M3 needs new tires and service - Keep it or Trade?

In almost every instance it’s wiser to maintain the vehicle you already own vs upgrading or trading it in against another vehicle. Your own conclusion at the end of your post even recognizes this. So, unless your motivation is to get newer and different (notice I didn’t say better), I’d stay...

free year of supercharging offer today

Yes, get a dryer outlet installed near your breaker box in the garage (assuming that's where it is). This cost me a grand total of $175C. Why isn’t range upgrade available yet.

If they offered me a range increase option I'd probably take advantage of it. Rear seat warmers, not so much in my area of Canada. Nor FSD, I can't see the legislation in Canada allowing this to be used 'full-time' on all roads and streets anytime soon. But, increased range, you bet ya! :D

Canadian premium connectivity coming to an end.

The price Tesla is offering is, in all regards, a fair price relative to the service being offered.
