Strange that the meter is already installed before the dispensers. I always thought the meter was like the last thing.

Seems odd that it would go offline after some were already able to successfully charge from it.

I really suspect that something was done incorrectly with this location and that's why it's taking so long. Maybe the cabling was wrong and they're redoing it now?

You're asking in the wrong place. This thread is about a supercharger being installed in Waukesha.

In typical Wisconsin fashion, just seems to be waiting on the meter.

Even if they installed the meter, would Tesla keep it offline and fenced off until the landscaping is done?

Interesting, I drove by later this morning but didn't see any changes.

I couldn't really see anywhere where the meter would go. I thought they normally went on the green transformer? Is it maybe going to go into the walled off cabinet area?

Transformer is installed. Saw someone working on the big white Tesla cabinets.

Just drove by, didn't see any transformer on site. The enclosure just contains the white Tesla cabinets.

I wouldn't always attribute to malice what could also be attributed to incompetence. I wonder if the installers screwed something up and they are stuck waiting to fix it.

Yeah I'd imagine it's probably much easier for Tesla when the property owner reaches out to them versus the other way around. And when you're talking about some of these small rural towns; getting a few megawatts ran to some parking lot might not be that easy and require waiting on the utility...

Awesome to see this one show up. I remember submitting a suggestion for this location when Tesla first started doing the super charger voting.

I'm guessing the crew working on the Greenfield one is moving onto this one next. So then the question will be, can two superchargers (Greenfield and JC) break ground and be fully ready for commissioning in the time it takes WE Energies just to commission the Waukesha one?

That must not include the additional 3-4 weeks that it will take We Energies to commission the site. At least if Waukesha is anything to go by.

I have a hunch that there will be a lot of ICE-ing at this location. Seems close to building and there's not a ton of other spots in those lots.

Oh wow, I wish the installs went this fast in my state. There's one by me that's been under construction for almost 200 days.

I would think commissioning a super charger installation is just fulfilling another customer request like anything else; it has nothing to do with "being cooperative with EVs". Which seems to be the discrepancy with We Energies, because they seem to always take forever for completing these...

I'm guessing there are no updates on this one? Tesla's site still says Q1 2023; but I never put much faith in that.

Tesla's website now lists this location with a targeted open date of Q3 2023.

I don't see it in the car's navigation yet, but I've heard that can take longer to show up there.

Drove through Meijer parking lot a couple of days ago, nothing there.

To be clear, are the physical brake lights behaving correctly? It's just the car avatar in the infotainment that's misbehaving? I haven't been able to verify it myself. I hope my actual brake lights aren't blinking/flashing and making me look like an idiot while stopped at a light.
