Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

Is anyone else still stuck on 2023.44.30.14 (11.4.9)? My 2019 Model 3 had a .25 (12.3) update fail at 50%, went away, and now for the past few days I've had nothing. Car says it's up to date.

FSD V12.3 Download Issue for HW4 vehicles

It’s been over 24 hours since my failed update and my car has had no incoming update since. Guess I’m no longer eligible for FSD 12.3; we’ll see for 12.3.1!

How long do we usually have to wait for a repush? Am I waiting for my 24 manual update check timer to expire?

FSD V12.3 Download Issue for HW4 vehicles

I just got the .25 update for the first time today and at the 50% download mark, it disappeared. What’s notable is I’m HW3 — 2019 Model 3. Service mode shows Bank B failing. Tried re-installing current version and rebooted; no update found yet. Will wait for tomorrow to do my 24 hour check and...

    Supercharger - Valley Stream, NY

The entirety of NYC needs an expansion, badly, with all these Ubers hogging up chargers. Ideally, they'd lower the congestion fee to 80% limit rather than 90%, too to encourage these same Ubers to get out.

    v11.4.7 (2023.7.30) auto-wipers seem drastically worse

It’s been pretty rainy in NY these last couple of days. The holiday update has made wipers much, much better IMO. It still suffers from not wiping enough at the low-drizzle area but its overall working much better than the 11.4.7 crapshoot.

Another failed Model 3 (2019) CCS upgrade

My last update on this endeavor is that I’m rolling back to Gen3. I don’t home charge, so I supercharge all the time and I’m getting tired of having to sit around for the first 10 minutes to ensure my charge goes smoothly. I’ll keep my Gen4 ECU for now, and maybe Tesla will eventually retrofit...

Another failed Model 3 (2019) CCS upgrade

I charged today from 4% to 80% with a hot pack but cold (sub freezing) body and it unfortunately errored out again today. This is despite buying a new bundle of wires and ensuring the connections were snug. Oh well. I did notice that the service menu in the holiday update now lists the DC pin...

Another failed Model 3 (2019) CCS upgrade

Today was mild, about 40F. Charged from 4% to 80% (peaked at 250kw) without issue. I’ll post again when it’s below freezing to see if it persists. Maybe my original BoW was bad?

Another failed Model 3 (2019) CCS upgrade

I purchased a new bundle of wires and going to see if this solves anything. Made doubly-sure that the connections are tight and everything is installed properly. It’s a bit warm in NYC right now. Will post results next time it dips below freezing.

Another failed Model 3 (2019) CCS upgrade

Sorry that you're also experiencing this issue; but now I have a buddy :) I misplaced my Gen3 controller so I can't even go back now. I'm still poking around to see if I can find a solution.

Another failed Model 3 (2019) CCS upgrade

I had a conversation with Falcon about this last year and he seemed to believe that, because the thermistors in the BoW are clamping values, the crushed range of temperature reported is actually lower than the real value. The end result should be the total rate of temp change is lower than the...

Another failed Model 3 (2019) CCS upgrade

So far it's been working fine for me too — I've stuck on the Gen4 with the adaptor and haven't had an issue again. But we're dropping temps — I just supercharged with a coldsoaked pack at 45F and didn't have an issue (although I only hit 130kW/250kW max since the cold) I figured it's not too...

M3 SR+ failed battery replaced under warranty, with a very used pack

Unrelated, what's up with the all the SRs getting BMS_a066 lately? It feels I'm seeing 2-3 of them a week on TMC or Reddit. I thought it might've been LFP chemistry at first, but 2019 was still NMC.

    Deliveries of $80k X?

Has anyone been able to get the FSD transfer since October started? My car is ready for pickup and my Tesla advisors aren’t responding (of course) to my question about FSD. Their reluctance to answer makes me feel like this whole “extension” isn’t actually happening.

    Deliveries of $80k X?

I checked my app today and I noticed “FSD transfer applied” has been removed on the trade-in section. Well, I’ll make them text me that my car is ready for pickup, then I’ll cancel my order.

    Deliveries of $80k X?

NYC, ordered 9/1 Ultra Red 5 seats black; just got a date range of October 5th to November 16th. Not happening — needed to be before Sept 30th for the FSD transfer. That sucks.

Expired 2023 Tesla Model 3 long range all wheel drive [Expired]

Am I mistaken in my math? I can get this car brand new for $47K - $7.5K federal tax rebate, minus the $4K NJ credit, and no state sales tax. Around ~38K OTD with delivery and registration fees. Does this car come with FSD? I'm interested, but I think I'm in for around $30K if this lacks FSD.

Ordered an LR Ultra Red, 20" wheels, steering wheel, 5 seats on 9/1 still waiting for VIN in NYC. Current ETA is "Sep - Oct". If I don't get the car by Sept 30th for the FSD transfer, I'm cancelling my order. Sales Advisor said it's going to be really close — hope it works out!!

Trunk Harness Recall - now there is rattling noise on bumpy road

I had my entire rear harness replaced under the recall, and ever since there's been a bunch of plastic rattles in the trunk lid of my car. Shoddy work done by Tesla, and it seems it's pretty common.

Another failed Model 3 (2019) CCS upgrade

This is a similar report to someone else who recently posted about an attempted CCS upgrade on their 2017 Model 3 that required a thermistor remapping (bundle of wires) change as well. Hi there! I’ve got an AWD M3 with 235/45R18 CrossClimate+ that have a lot of tread left (only 7K miles) Just got an unrepairable flat on my front passenger side. Michelin discontinued the CC+ for the CC2. Is it possible to just replace the one tire and perhaps shave it to match the rest? Or...

Sports mode steering feels significantly lighter

I found this thread independently of the issue. I was at a stop light yesterday after updating to 2022.12 and thought "did my steering settings get reset?" — but I was still set to Sport. Steering got much lighter with this update, curious if that's intended or not.

Auto headlights with wipers function deleted

Here’s a recording of what I’m talking about — as of 2022.8.2 the card no longer displays when you push forward the left stalk to trigger auto high beams. It still does with regular high beams, meaning, if you want the card you need to flash the person in front of you.

Lol to make the matter worse, Tesla removed the headlight card that showed when you toggled Auto High Beams. So now the only way to turn on headlights when driving is digging through the full menu, or flashing someone with real high beams to bring up the card. This is insanely annoying. I keep...

Not sure why you feel the need to be so hostile. When it's raining and it's daytime out, it's usually bright enough to not need headlights for your own vision reasons. It's mostly so that oncoming cars see your headlights, and cars behind you see your tailights, improving your visibility to...

Auto headlights with wipers function deleted

Yeah, thankfully that makes things slightly easier but I haven't had to turn my headlights on when my wipers on in any of my cars circa-2008 onward. Feels like such a downgrade in functionality and safety, and perhaps the most annoying thing is the lack of release notes around it. It's mind...

I just noticed this in a trip recently, I can't believe I've been driving with my headlights off in the rain all this time! How was this not part of the release notes? Everything wrong with V11 update / user interface.

I've got a lot of gripes about the new update, biggest of which is: why are the toast notifications so low on the screen now? I can barely see them, why did they need to be lowered? I have to take my eyes so far off the road to see what the car is trying to say. There's a lot else I want to...

Anyone have an RTIC 45 cooler? Does it fit in the sub trunk?

Mine arrived today from Amazon. It's great! Only con is that you can't use the top-insert in the arm rest storage area, as the 12v adaptor is too long and blocks the thing from sitting right. More of a Tesla thing than Alpicool thing. Here's some pictures: In all, a 15-16L storage is less...

Anyone have an RTIC 45 cooler? Does it fit in the sub trunk?

Thanks for following up! I think you might have trouble with the Alpicool 22, as its height is 13 inches, and the subtrunk is only 12. The Alpicool 15 should work perfectly and fit with the floor cover on. The Alpicool 20 *might* work, but it's 1/2 inch too high. I just bought the 15 since I...

Interesting new API in iOS 13.4

Sorta. There's also Express Transit Cards in iOS that lets you set a default credit card to be used without unlocking, waking, or tapping anything. This allows you to just tap the phone at a turnstile (like with OMNY in NYC) and go. Other cards still require the double-tap & authentication. I...
